I'm a 24 year old female and have just recently been talking with someone whos 34. I don't have a problem with it, but I'm afraid of what my family and friends will say or think about it. I'm ready to settle down, find love, and be in a serious relationship and me and this guy get along great. But how do I deal with the negative comments? Is this too much an age difference?

Is it better for a parent not to date and concentrate on raising the kid until the kid is 18 and out of the house?...or is it better for a kid to have one step parent and the biological parent so he can grow with both parents?? whats the damage when a parent remarries brings the new steparent to the kids life and then there is another divorce?
Is there any information (statistical numbers, websites ) about this??

I recently posted about being married to a man who is good to my kids but I am not in love with him. I should also not that I have been talking to a friend of mine in a "more than friends" way. My husband is nice, overly sensitive but a great father. I am not happy here. I was pushed into marrying him and I am not a very strong person so I have never spoken up about my feeling till now. Now that I have I have become a wreck- I dont want to hurt him but I need to be true to myself. Now everyone who answered the last question said I need to think of the kids, I am- they are my life. If mommy is crying everyday or depressed on a daily basis how is that good for them. If daddy wont even talk to me then what? I told him i was not happy, but he makes me feel so guilty, he has always been good at that. I am not leaving him to run to another man, I would be leaving him to find me, then I might find that I was wrong about him or that the other is good for me. I know I a a messed up person, help

My husband and I recently got married and have been living together for almost two years. We had a financial emergency and have come up sixty dollars short on the rent. We haven't ever been late before.

When I explained this to my husband, instead of taking it calmly and just saying "we'll just have to be late then" he freaked out and said "I'm going to call my mother and get the money!!"

I don't understand his behavior. His mother is really bad about making him feel awful for asking for anything from her and she'll guilt-trip him and lecture/nag him for his 'choices'. He is aware of this and has stated that he dreads asking her for anything.

I get paid at the end of the week and while the rent will be a few days late, we'll manage it on our own without having to deal with the tears and guilt-trips. I think this is the better solution...what do you think?

My fiance's family has this tradition where you use the kids from within the family to fill the role of ring bearer and flower girl. The only little girl in both of our famalies who was the appropriate age just kind of assumed she was going to be asked, as did her parents. My fiance and I agree we would prefer to use my friend's daughter as our flower girl. We only want one flower girl and we have chosen her. What would be a tactful way of breaking the news to this niece and her family, especially since we are going against an established tradition in his family?

Just a repeat, we do not want to have two flower girls, we want to use my friend's daughter and there will be no role for his niece in our wedding.

Thanks!

I was talking to a female friend and I asked her if she had a diet soda because some people prefer diet soda over regular soda, you know just to make conversation... then she said "DO you think I should go on a diet?" and she is a really nice person but a bit over weight so I said "Yes." the thought behind it was that she asked me the question so I give her the honest answer as a friend because I care about her... Now she won't talk to me, what can I do to make it up to her?

I'm 23 years old and I've been with my husband for 7 years, since I was a sophomore in HS. We have 2 young kids now, and we are going to try again for baby #3 soon. We had a miscarriage a little while ago, and I wanted some tips on how to focus things on our making love, rather than making a baby. Any ideas on how to spice things up?

Just out of curiousity...has anyone ever had the bridesmaid from hell and just didn't know what was going to happen? I've got a crappy situation here. Getting married in October, and had asked my fiance's cousin to stand up with me. Pretty much since the day we got engaged, she's complained and made comments about everything from the color theme, to the Jack & Jill bash, to the dress styles, you name it. She's becoming more "whiny" and "hostile" and it's bringing everyone down. My fiancee's mother is battling cancer right now and I want this wedding to be something for her to fight for, and to look forward to, and we're working hard to make it the best day for her (as well as us, of course). I guess what I'm asking is has anyone ever gone through this and actually followed through on giving a bridesmaid the boot?

My boyfriend and I have resently had sex for the first time. It was good and all, but I dont know how to be sexy for him in bed. I've tried the whole, 'arch your back' and 'stroke his hair'. But things like that dont really help. As in getting the 'big O'. I guess what I am really asking is, how do I stay sexy in bed?

And another thing, how should I react around him now? I mean, do I just go on like nothing ever happened? Do I act like I want him more? I dont understand. In romance novels I have read, they say, that the characters just go on with life and look at their boyfriends in completely different ways. But I dont want to look at Bob(not his real name) in different ways. I love the way I look at him, and he loves the way, too. If you cant tell I have some problems with sex, and, the whole after sex ordeal.

HELP!!!!!

I finally had my dress dry-cleaned and ready to sell on eBay (after two years of marriage!). After I got it cleaned, it ended up with small yellow stains on the skirt part :-( They are fairly light in color but its a pure white dress so could be noticable. Would anyone buy this or should I just not bother trying to sell it? I wanted to sell it for $500 but now I don't think I will be able to sell it for that much, maybe $200? Its such a gorgeous dress!! I bought it for $850.
