How low on the skirt are the stains and how tall are you? If someone had the dress hemmed, would the stains disappear? If so, it might be ok. If they are kind of all over, I'd first make sure to put that in the description b/c you can get in big trouble selling it without telling all of that info. Second, I wouldn't expect to make tons of money on it. If you are crafty at all or know someone who is, you might find beading or lace similar to what is on the gown if there is any and emellish on top of the stains...that will up that value and hide the stains. Good luck.

I personally wouldn't buy one-- especially when you are able to find brand new wedding dresses for $200. I didn't even bother dry cleaning mine- my 5 yr old had a bloody nose during the dance - so, got blood all over it -- yea, in the trash it went - along w/ the marriage!
1st- I would bring it back to the drycleaners- and say that one didn't come out -- see if they will try again for free-- I'd definately try that!! otherwise- I would list it -- but, expect disappointment if it doesn't sell for much- but, hopefully it does : )
take a pic of the stain - just type that - maybe they know a trick to getting out stains.

I have bought two online. I bought a Maggie Sottero dress that was $1,299.00 on Ebay for $222.00. The dress was new with tags. It was BEAUTIFUL...I mean stunning. Not a thing wrong with it at all. Lakhouse Bridal on Ebay. I bought a second, less formal dress also from another seller. An Oleg Cassini gown that came from David's Bridal. I had seen it at David's and liked it but I thought that $1000.00 was to much to spend on a second dress to run around the reception in. I found it on Ebay for $300.00. The woman who bought it simply did not like the color once she got it home and in real lighting. She sent me the receipt from David's and all. Just make sure it is a reputable seller. Read the small/fine print about shipping costs and return policy if there is something wrong. And most of all MEASURE MEASURE MEASURE, make sure it's gonna fit you close enough that it can be altered to fit perfectly.

With a stain, I don't think I'd buy it for any amount (unless I knew I could get a tailor to do something to hide that part). I'd say it's worth a try though! Just be honest about the stains in the description. Who knows, maybe someone will want to buy it anyway. Good luck!

was it stained before you had it cleaned, if not you might be able to get something from the dry-cleaners for ruining it on you.
When you list it on Ebay make sure you mention the stain and show the pic. Try a BIN option or even a Best Offer. Also you might want to try a Consignment Shop.

Just be honest in your description of the dress. Someone may still want it...as for the price, make sure to put a limit of $200 or whatever your minimum price would be.

I would take it back to the cleaner and tell them that the stains weren't there before they cleaned it. They might try to get the stains out for you for free. It's worth a try.

List it as is and let them see the stains and whatever you get, at least you know you did not lie and you sold an item that was accepted by the buyer as is.
