whats the best way to tell my husband that his grandma just passed away? we knew this was going to happen because she had cancer and wasn't doing well. even though hes prepared to hear this anytime I still want to do this gently. I am not emotionally attached because I never even met her. My husband is pretty strong when it comes to stuff like this but this still isn't going to be easy. Any advice?

If a married girl living far away from parents and is hospitalized, her husband doesn’t want to tell her parents about her condition.

Now her birthday is approaching in 4-5 days. And doctors haven’t allowed her to talk and move, as she underwent a serious operation.

How to tackle this situation when her parents and friends call her on her day?
What are the excuses that can work effectively?

Plz suggest me.. this is a real situation.

I am 28, my parents are wealthy and try to use their money and influence to control me.
I just want to live my simple middle class life.
I asked for $62,000 in $2,000 monthly installments so that I can maintain my lifestyle while I go to school and try to start my own business.
Am I being unreasonable, they can afford it. I haven't asked for anything since I graduated from Highschool and moved out of their house. I have been working for the past 10 years and going to school, I don't want them to take care of me I just want some help.

I can't believe the state of the NC courts. My husband's ex wife gets a buttload of support and alimony. She is a college educated teacher living in a county desperate for teachers.
Yet she "works" at a pre-school in a church 4 days a week for only a few hours a day and can't understand why she has trouble paying for the $200K+ house she had to have.
Do not misunderstand me, I give a rats behind about a huge house, and I like where I live - we have totally different priorities.
What irks me is her whining to the kids that they are doing without because "daddy doesn't give me enough money"
What utter B.S. Its more that they do without because she won't get off her Oprah watching lard butt to work for all the expensive stuff she just HAD to have!
Hell, her lack of contributing to the finances is part of why her marraige ended anyway!
Grrrrrr........ this sound right to any of you????
(My husband works upward of 50 hours a week and I work full time too)

I am married for last three years . There is no chemistry between me and my husband. I need expression in love and very emotional person. My husband is nice but very different . I need to be loved. I have sex wid him as my duty but from inside i hate it. Now I am in love wid a man who is also in same situation. We have no kids . We do want to marry each other but we are afraid to hurt our partners. We cry all the time , life has become so difficult. I can never tell my husband that I am leaving him. We dont know what to do. For both of us love is very important and we love each other purely. Can you suggest what should we do.

My marraige was over before 6 months had passed. My ex was abusive (cliche I know but he admitted the first round, went to counseling, stopped drinking and I thought we'd be ok)
He was a financial catastrophe, and after he stopped drinking turned really mean (I think they call this a dry drunk)/
So, from the time my father learned I had included his home on the restraint order, and threw a fit on the phone while I was at work (total lack of respect) we've had little contact.
I don't understand why my father now has weekly dinners with this jerk, has had the ex's parents to dinner (this never happened the whole time we were married!) yet he doesn't call me ever. Barely says hello when we see each other at family gatherings either.
How can a father turn his back on his daughter for an admitted abusive jerk?
Why doesn't he see that its wrong?
I could never EVER choose my children's spouses over my own children. Unconditional love is supposed to be unconditional, right?

I have been casually seeing a guy for about 6 months now, and lately he is giving me mixed signals. I have tried to talk to him about what is going on, but he refuses to communicate with me or give me a straight answer about anything and simply says he needs to get to know me better before he is ready to move forward, doesn't want to be pressured, blah, blah, blah. The most recent pattern seems to be that he will spend an entire day with me, then contact me on more than one occasion the following day, and then I won't hear from him for a few days. Then it starts all over again. I will not chase him, but I do have feelings for the guy. Do I get out now or do I come up with a new game to play?

My son has (over the past couple of months) been causing pain to himself when he gets angry or frustrated, Its seems to mostly be when his dad gets on him and he can be very harsh with his words. My son does seem a little sensitive to things, but I think it is because he has no self esteem. The first time I really noticed was when I saw that he had a couple of faint black eyes and when I asked him where he got them he said "oh I did it" and I knew he had becuase I heard him in his room the night before and it was after his dad had been real hard on him. There has been other times and I try not to make a big deal about it incase it is for attention. I am torm with what I should do. He does also seem immature for his age and some kids will be his friend until someone else comes along better then they make fun of him and it hurts. I told his Dad this morning what he has been doing, but I am wondering if maybe this isn't a good environment (my husband can be verbally abusive)

I had to be home friday night at 11. 10:30 came around and i had no ride home. I called them and they came and picked me up 5 minutes away from my house. They said that i cannot go out for the rest of the school year and i am never aloud to sleep over anyones house again. IM 16 YEARS OLD.

i am really hurt by my grandma she is always being nosey and her and my mother does not get along AT ALL they are always arguing and actually fighting each other! and then she has this yelling problem she can't talk in a regular talking voice if her life depended on it! and i all ways get blamed for stuff cause i am the oldest. and i understaand but like one time she had candy put up and my bro and sis got into it while i was asleep and the evidence was all over there mouthes but still i get blames for it! she said i ate it!!! and that's not fair she even called me a B**** for not talking to her.
