Good Birthday Gift For Wife

I'm 56 and a PERFECT gift from MY husband would be something like this......

He leaves work early and goes food shopping for items for a gourmet meal that HE will cook. The table is set beautifully FOR 2, with flowers, wine chilling and he serves me dinner... Afterwhich, we go upstairs where he draws me a nice hot bath and GETS IN THERE WITH ME.... it becomes VERY romantic (I'm sure you remember how that is done).... and then into the bedroom where he offers to give me an all over body massage....(hopefully you know how to do those as well).... you use some really fine quality beautifully smelling massage oil and are EVER so gentle but firm....IF I decide I want sex (and after that I'm SURE I WOULD)..... you do EVERYTHING MY WAY..... if I want an hour of foreplay, I GET an hour of foreplay....ANY foreplay that you know I will enjoy...be creative and VERY touchy feely cause we women LOVE that... then, while I lay sleeping, you sneak into the kitchen and quietly wash all the dishes and clean off the table... when you come back to the bedroom, you awaken me with tender kisses and you JUST MIGHT BE REWARDED for your PLEASURE!!!!!!!!! now THAT would be MY kind of Birthday----oh by the way, my birthday is in September, what time can I EXPECT YOU????

There is no such thing as "plenty of jewelry". Diamonds and other gems are wonderful gifts. If she has diamond stud earrings, get bigger ones. A simple 14K gold necklace is lovely, too. I think the best gift might be a romantic trip for a 4 day weekend, though. Plan it for an all-inclusive resort and she'll love being waited on and pampered!

Something personal then...maybe a scrapbook. With the help of some family members you could create a great book of memories for her if all would pitch in and help donate their favorite pictures. Adding captions and borders around the book will really make it all come together. This would be a thoughtful gift from the heart.

Just an idea I would love to have done for me.

I think it would be really nice to rent a room at a bed and breakfast a few towns over. Call ahead and have them light candles and have a bottle of champagne chilling in your room. Take her out for dinner...enjoy a quiet breakfast the next morning...find something to do in the town that you don't normally do...like going to a concert or a play...basically spend two days making her the center of your world.

Well, depending on your budget, a weekend away with you would probably be greatly appreciated. If that is a little to extravagant, you could always go for the tried and true massage and/or manicure/pedicure certificate. Or, if there is a store that she loves to shop at, but doesn't often buy things there because is is too pricey, you could get her a gift certificate for the store.

A week in Paris. Take her out for a good meal every night so that she does not have to do the cooking or wash dishes. Do it all in Paris, the city of Love.

It worked for me in March this year.
