I'm concerned that a friend of mine might be anorexic. I've never seen her eat, and she's getting thinner and thinner and there's bags under her eyes. I've heard those are the symptoms and don't know what to say to her. We're not "best" friends, and I think it might be a little awkward to talk to her.
What do I say?

Met future mil, was courteous as were they. Said thank you after the meal & left..not good enough for her, she wanted a thank you note. She wants a ty note for everything, from X-mas presents, to simply visiting. She also has another son that she obviously favors. Why? B/c he & his wife kiss her *** to get stuff. I'm not going to do that. I don't do it w/ my own family. Don't think you should have to do that to get someone to like you. Anyway, the dad sides w/ the mom regardless. Before & after hubby & I were engaged, the mil kept telling him not to marry me. After she met my family for the first time, she called her son to complain about them & again reiterated not to marry me, & get this..it was as she was driving down my sister's driveway after having met them. The night before the wedding, she had her other son call my husband & tell him he was rude at the rehearsal dinner (he was not) & again, not to marry me. She didn't speak to my hubby the day of the wedding. cont.

we want to marry in louisiana. We want to elope and would like to find a small chapel to do this in. Nothing fancy, nothing extragant. Just a small chapel, in louisiana. Just us and maybe 4 other people. We live south of Lafayette we would like to do this north of us so we can take a week and travel north to ark. on a motorcycle. can anyone please help me on this subject. I can't seem to find anything on the internet that has been helpful.

i've been married for 18 years and have 2 kids, my husband has been in love with this ***** for over 2 years and my life is like hell. they won't give up to each other despite my resistance- we are not going to divorce!- and he still lives with us but doesn't come home 2 times a week. should i give up? i still love my husband and feel terribly lonely.

i'm wondering what your opinion is regarding someone with abusive tendencies 'changing their ways'. everything i have read indicates that intensive therapeutic intervention can help the person who is abusive, and my estranged husband is in counseling, but is at the same time still in that same loop of blame, nonaccountability, and denial. i recently moved almost 2000 miles away from him, but we left everything 'open ended' as far as filing for divorce vs. reconciliation. we decided to give it TIME. which is all right and good, but i'm beginning to think that there is no change in sight for him, and to reconcile would mean me going back there, right back to the same lifestyle and BS. he sees no problem with anything he says-does, so am i just hoping against hope that a change is going to happen??

last night i went over to my friends apartment. we had talked before online and said we were both up for a little making out and a movie (we are kinda friends with benefits). i really like himm, but i understand that he doesn't want a relationship now, and thats cool cause i am going to africa for 9 weeks this summer anyway. anyway, i was at his house and we made out a little, then got into the movie, i was freezing and had my sweater wrapped around me, he asked if i wanted a blanket from his bed, and i said " well...that depends..how clean is it?" and as soon as i said it i knew i shouldn't have, but it slipped out without even thinking (cause a blanket off a 19 year old guys bed...how clean could it really be?) and i am a bit of a germ-a-phobe. but he kinda flipped out a little and said "what? thats not cool..seriously that was really rude, you can leave now" but i apoligised and he was fine after that, but the atmosphere changed...have i ruined it?

My ex does not pay child support. He lied about where he was working so they cannot find him. He owes me so much money for dr bills (our kid has siezures). I stopped taking him over to his house for his wkly visit because he was not helping out. He already has supervised visitation for past problems. Does anyone know how I can get him to sign over his rights? Or does anyone know how long one can go w/o paying c/s before they will have to go to jail?

So on your invites you write the date out but how do you write the year should it be

Two thousand AND seven or two thousand seven?

I thought it was the "and" version, but then the other day someone corrected another poster on this same issue and now I dont know what to write.

i was seeing my x 4 about three months on and off!
to cut a long story short he finished with me last weeknd saying he didnt want comitment and didnt want me to get hurt!!
(nothing to do with th efact he went to benadorm this wkend)
any way he has been txting and snogging this girl that i kind of made friend with now after a few stormy arguments!
anyway, after he finished with me i thought sod it im going to text his friend who i get on with quite well any way he ended up showing my x and so he text me saying it didnt take me long to move on and fing any1 new!
the cheek of him!
any way was out on the wknd and seen my new "best friend"
and she showed me a text from him saying that he told me to delete his number and never speek to him again which is a load os bull ****!

Is there anyone on this planet who actually believes that their partner's ex is anything other than mad/insane/drunk/child abuser? It just stuns me how many people complain about their partner's ex - especially if there is child support to be paid.

while we were seperated for 6 mths, in 2005 my hb had sex 3 times with this thing. She rang me 18 mths l8r to let me kno((so kind of it!). He said it was just revenge sex in the 1st 4 weeks of leaving as he was so hurt (i was a real *****, but no-one else involved). She however said it was a 4 yr loving affair. I kno she's lying as he did a lie detector test & passed. She keeps calling or texting me with more of her "revelations". Why on earth after 4 mths wld she keep calling me?

I will be extremely grateful for all suggestions for gifts suggestion for my mother - I want a get well gift as she is in Hospital having a hip replacement and a birthday gift as it is her birthday on Monday.

Thanks I can't buy her -
1) Flowers - she has said no she doesn't want any in the hospital, as there isn't much room by her bed as it is.
2) Book - No go - she is currently working her way through my Jodi Picoult collection and says she really doesn't need anymore
3) Clothing - spent all day Sat and Sun looking and couldn't find anything I thought she'd like.
4) DVD's - again she just watches mine.

As you can see I am now a little stuck - please help!

I'm 22, almost 23 and my biological father NEVER once paid child support, nor supported me, nor helped me in anything like college or medical bills. He only came to see me a few times when I was a toddler. My mother never ordered child support from him.

AT THIS POINT IN MY LIFE CAN I SUE HIM FOR THE CHILD SUPPORT THAT HE NEVER GAVE ME MY ENTIRE LIFE?

My husband had two kids with his ex girlfriend (boy and girl) and now we have a son who is 15 months. I originally wanted 3 children but i know thats out of the question because he has 3 right now! However we have decided that we will have one more. It will be at least another year before we can have another child but I am afraid he will change his mind before then because he already has 3. Being that he already has 2 boys and a girl it makes me anxious that he will not want more when the time comes. I would be very upset if this happened, what should I do?

After a few minor arguments, my girlfriend has recently told me that she doesn't trust me...........she wants to and to some degree does, but not implicitly.

My question is this, having been guilty of not divulging the entire truth about my past (not cheating or lying) can she ever learn to trust me without question or will there always be some doubt as to whether I have anything to hide from her?

How do you decide whether to be a mistress. The man I have been with for six years married the mother of his child on Saturday. He wants me to be around still and promises all sorts of things. How do I decide whether to stay or walk away from the situation knowing that I will never be his wife and that he has a family? As a mistress I get all the perks, no cleaning up after him, all the fun and fantastic sex. The downside is we can't hang out with his friends like we used to since they know he is now married. I am not really religious although I was brought up in a catholic home and can't help thinking I will be judged at the pearly gates. The new wife knows about me and my relationship with him but thinks it is long over. If she only knew he called me twice this week while he was away at his wedding and was here the night before he left on his trip. I owe nothing to her and feel no guilt towards her. She just happen to be lucky enough to get pregnant.

My parents have been separated for almost three years now. Both of them have moved on and have significant others now, and my parents still get along great. I will be getting married in just over a year. I was a little hesitant to invite their significant others to the wedding. My parents together have reassured me that at the wedding, they will be sitting together at the wedding (there has been problems with this in my family before, which is why I was hesitant to agree).
My mom is in a long distance relationship, however, and he is not the most well-off man. I am afraid that either they will break up, or something will happen that he will not be able to come. My mom is very uncomfortable around my dad's girl. If something were to happen and moms date couldn't come, would it be out of the question to ask my dads girl not to come in order to not upset my mom and to keep the peace? If my mom is upset, I will be too.
I would ask mom's bf to not come if somehow dads girl can't come too.

My best friend, who is a 23 year old girl (I'm a 18 year old guy), went to live with her girlfriend in Texas. She's been there for about 4 months now. She wants to come home to Indiana to visit all of her friends and family. Her other best friend was supposed to come and get her because she doesn't like flying. Well, he had trouble coming up with the money and needed like $100. Well, he finally got the money but now he's using it to but new trucks and 4 wheelers. My best friend told me that. She didn't say a lot about that but I could tell she was pretty upset about the whole thing. She's really been missing her family and friends. I go get her but I'm getting ready to graduate and my car wouldn't make it to Texas and back. What can I tell her and how can I make her feel better? She really doesn't like flying so that's outta the question. I hate seeing her down and everything because I've been friends with her for alomost 5 or 6 years now. What do I do?
