My husband had two kids with his ex girlfriend (boy and girl) and now we have a son who is 15 months. I originally wanted 3 children but i know thats out of the question because he has 3 right now! However we have decided that we will have one more. It will be at least another year before we can have another child but I am afraid he will change his mind before then because he already has 3. Being that he already has 2 boys and a girl it makes me anxious that he will not want more when the time comes. I would be very upset if this happened, what should I do?

Chill.

It may or may not happen but you worrying about it now will only cause one of two things to happen:

Either you'll worry so much that you'll begin to nag him and turn him off to even discussing the issue, or;

you'll make yourself sick over it for no reason.

Concentrate on your existing family and deal with the issue IF it ever becomes one.

At the moment it doesn't sound like you need to do anything. I would suggest that you don't worry about it as it won't make a bit of difference when the time comes to make the final decision. Life's too short for making yourself crazy for nothing.

I think you are worrying about something that may not happen. Take him at his word and when the time is right try for #2.

Just honor his wishes and don't have anymore kids. It takes 2 parents who really want it. Not just 1 parent thinking about what pleases them only. Kids are too expensive and time consuming.

Stop worrying about something that MIGHT happen. He said he would have one more so what makes you think he will renege? Is he in the habit of lying to you? Relax and enjoy life.
