how come people that have money, only care about having more...and not help the poor?

What wealthy people do you hang out with? I know plenty with plenty and they give all the time. Just because those who have can choose who to give to doesn't make them greedy. I know personally I do not like helping people who aren't willing to at least try to help themselves. But, if there is a family in need, I know exactly who to go to for help-and it is never those "victim-mentality" people who hate the wealthy. They are usually the tightest with their money and time-which is why they have none! By the way, those of us who have worked hard for our money do not like celebs and children of freeloaders-they are a bad example of people who don't always give but are excited to tell you what you should be doing with your time and money.

Because they are taking care of their own family. The "poor" can take care of themselves. Get jobs! Even if it is cleaning a bathroom or working at a fast food store.

Come on, the fact that people want to have more things that THEY CAN AFFORD has nothing to do with POOR PEOPLE...............It is time for people to stand up for themselves and get a JOB>
Every POOR person is not my RESPONSIBILITY. The fact that my husband and I both waited to have a family until we FINISHED COLLEGE is my concern and the fact that someone else did not follow that route is NOT my concern.

We fund many charities and have actually started some charities. Everyone is responsible for themselves at some point. Don't blame someone that has a lot for doing something wrong. THey worked for it.

Lots and lots of rich people give and give to the poor but sometimes the poor just need to get up and do somethings for themselves!!
If you dont have enough money - get a better job, get a second job, get more education, move to a different place where there is more work, get on a training program and most of all -DONT HAVE MORE CHILDREN UNTIL YOU ARE BETTER OFF FINANCIALLY.

Not all people are that way. Look at Oprah or Bill Gates or Ted Turner. They give a lot to charities. Also usually the persons with money pay huge taxes which help social programs for those less fortunate . Corporations give a lot to charities as well.

Wow - what a poor view of others around you .. and in general ...

There are people of ALL Socio-economic Statuses .. that are SELFISH to the extreme .. and unwilling to care about anyone else ...

Then there are the folks that are generous to a fault -- volunteer when they can, help out, are courteous, and give ... whether it is money, goods, things or time ....

That is just what human life is ... some never care .. and some care too much.

I ask my self the same question. It says in the Gospels, "Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God." Matthew 19:24. Now, Im not a Christian, but alot of these wealthy people consider themselves Holy Rollers, rolling up to the Church parking lot in the benzo all iced out. I guess it comes down to how you define success. For some people it would be lots of money, instead of serving Allah by serving your fellow humanbeing. Remember, Money is not the root of all evil. It's the love of money that is.

Its a Selfish world.

The Rich became rich from their root called poor.

The ones who are poor are the ones who are not striving hard to be rich.

for eg: people in gulf suppress girls not to work and make them dependent on the male genders.When different genders are suppressed there is an oppression called frustration and hate leading to poverty.

that's not true. bill and melinda gates give millions to educate and innoculate the poor through their foundation; Oprah gives millions through her angel network, favorite things giveaway, and building schools

Because when someone works hard all of thier life to get what they have, they would prefer to teach others how to succeed instead of giving hand-outs.
