My first wife divorced me after 11 years of being together. I remarried 2 years later to a very loving woman who now is the mother of my child (first marriage no kids). My first wife will have no contact with me nor even consider getting back together which is fine, as we both need to move on, but sometimes I feel stuck in my heart and wonder why I don't love my second wife as much as I think I loved my first (who really was the greatest love of my life). I've been told that I can "grow to love" her as I am not passionately excited or in love with her as I was with my first wife...any advice?

My girlfriend and I have been going out for two years now. Tomorrow night is her senior prom and next Friday night is my senior prom. We chose not to attend her senior prom but instead This weekend we had plans. Her and I were supposed to go to go out to a romantic dinner tonight stay at her house go down the shore Saturday to my brother's going away party and Sunday come home.

I recently found out that my two best friends who i haven't seen since last July will be coming down to my brother's place on Friday night. I know this may sound mean but I told my girlfriend today that I did not want to go out with her tomorrow! I wish she would understand! I haven't seen my friend's since July and I really want to spend this weekend with them. Just a weekend with the guys! I told her next weekend we can go to my prom and we will do everything we had planned for this weekend.

I've sat here and read several stories about people who feel the need to cheat. My personal opinion is if anyone is not happy in their marriage/relationship for one reason or another have the decency to tell ur mate, preferrably before cheating. If ur out there already doing it then why bother to ask for help on this forum? U apparently know it's wrong already so what do u all expect from us really? Nobody's opinion really counts but your own so why r u really wasting our time and energy? If u feel what ur is aok why r u bothering to ask other peoples opinions? I don't mean to be judgemental, but if ur cheating now or plan to then u already know what could happen when your mates find out! This forum is for those people that trully want help w/serious issues. Cheating is not a serious issue especially when it is happening all the time and most people with a conscience know it is not ok EVER no matter how you word it or put your own spin on it to make it seem like its ok!

I consider my work very important. I recently stopped working as an employee and started my own business. I am very dynamic and fight for what i need to get. Things in Greece are not like this at all. Men want their woman to depend on them. They want her to look lovely, be a good wife, have a small income maybe but no opinion and definatelly not to have more experiences than them. I have lived in four different countries up to now, done a lot, seen a lot and heard even more. Should i pretend to be of lower profile just to get a man? Or should I forget about it?

My husband, his brother, and two sisters will be having a dinner reunion this weekend. I don't care much for his one sister, I never met the other one, I like his brother (we met once two months ago).

This reunion is for everyone because no one other than my husband and his one sister has seen each other for 22 years.
Only the sister I have not met is bringing her husband the other two are single.

Okay, scenario: My husband told my daughter it would break his heart if I don't go. He already told me he feels that I should be there for him during this happy time. I have already my desire not to go.

My husband and I are going thru a very rocky time right now and I feel wrong in going. Plus I know I won't really have much of a good time. I have already heard most of the stories and the rest I probably won't care to hear.

What would be the most respectful thing to do?

To expand on shdwtalker's explanation in my last question:

"In other words, cheaters tend to accept that they are running afoul of societal norms, and so society treats them like children who have misbehaved, but who know they have misbehaved: with leniency. Swingers do not care that they are running afoul of societal norms, so society treats them like unrepentant, willfully misbehaving children: with severity. "

It's a foregone conclusion that cheating is wrong and probably the most harmful thing a person can do to himself or to others. So with that in mind, please explain to me (in excruciating detail) why you think it is better to cheat than to swing? IS it actually better to lie to your spouse? Why is so wrong to be truthful...especially when it turns something that could be disastrously negative into a very positive and happy thing? Or is our happiness just a delusion? And is it a delusion because others say it is? 'Cause it sure feels real to us...

He is a good man and treats me well, but we are struggling just to eat, much less pay bills. He says he is afraid to go look for a job, because he has a warrant out for his arrest (for non-payment of probation fees) - He gets angry when I try to talk to him about working. I work about 45-50 hours per week and I am going to have to find another job on the weekends just to get my head above water. I love him so much, but I just dont understand how he can just sit there and let us slide deeper and deeper in debt without even trying to help. I found him a job that pays $10 per hour cash - he wont go - he says the state troopers will pick him up if he leaves the house. And if you are wondering if my house is spotless since I have a live-in houseman - sorry to say, he does dishes and yardwork and not much else. Sometimes supper is cooked for me when I come home, most of the time it is not. Any suggestions on what I should do, aside from the obvious...kick his butt out...I cant do that

Recently I got invited to my cousin's wedding, I already replied that my fiance & I would be going but then recently found out that he could not go. I wrote to my Aunt (my cousin's mother) telling her that he could not could but I was wanting to bring my sister since she was not invited (they are not close) & I know she wanted to go very badly, & this was before I have even metioned anything to my sister. My Aunt then very sharply replied that the inviation was only for myself & my fiance & that she questioned if I knew right from wrong by inviting my sister to take my fiance's place. I wrote back that I was sorry & that I didn't realize that the inviation was not a "plus one" thing. It was a misunderstanding but I feel very hurt by how my Aunt handled it & am not sure if I want to go at all, she doesn't know she hurt my feelings & I am sure she didn't mean to but still it was very insulting that she would think I would every do something so inconsiderate. Should I go?

Hey - I work with a guy that is really interested in a Mail Order Bride after being single for several years and getting older. My co-workers and I have been scanning the internet in hopes of finding him a good mate through the websites... but we are having a hard time finding ones that look or seem legit. Any push in the right direction would be fantastic! Has anyone actually done this - what site did you go through? He's attracted to Philipino (sorry, if I spelled that wrong!) and Asian women. Any help would be wonderful!

Thanks in advance.

What kind of junk is this? Not only has he NOT tried to visit or support my daughter in anyway for the last 5 years (no calls, no birthday/Christmas presents, no loving conversations, NOTHING) but all of a sudden I get served papers for an upcoming court date for visitation purposes?? Come ON!

Yeah, I am a single mother. And no, I'm not looking for sympathy...we're doing just fine. :) But my question is...should a man like this REALLY be given visitation by a judge in a court of law? I've spoken to people who actually say that happened to them. The judge pretty much said "well, he's trying now....blah blah blah". He was never a good father...we moved away to get away from his verbal abuse when my daughter was 4. She is now nine. Going crazy here...any suggestions?

My husband is a very adept manipulator, so good in fact that no one realises they are being manipulated. He is a narcissist.
He had a very bad relationship with his mother and has severely damaged the relationship between my son and I. He has created a gulf with his lies or HALF TRUTHS making it so hard to uncover the truth. He has a hidden agenda of not liking women but he needs women to give him his power. So he works with vulnerable women and disabled children.
He thinks he's a good dad but I've begged him not to get into my (adult) sons head as I hear him do all the time.
He is playing a really dirty game now he's met a wealthy client he's having a relationship with. he is projecting on me all the very horrible things he is doing. He's telling my son I'm playing unfair, he's the one who's closing accounts, moving money and pretending he's having a tough time. Now my son believes him. This man's quote to me is no one will beat him..He crosses professional boundaries unchallanged

My boyfriend and I have been together for almost 2 years now and we are quite happy and are even living together, we have sex all the time except when its that time of the month and I cant have sex, yesterday was one of them I wasn’t feeling too well and I was tired so I couldn’t even do anything with him.. that’s when he started touching himslef and started mastubating in the same bed I was with him. I didn’t say anything as I WAS ABSOLUTELY shocked…He has never done this before and although I understand that it can be hard for guys at times but is that something I should be worried about as I have never seen this happen before. I just obviously slep off in disbeleive…Is this normal???
