Almost one year ago my exhusband and I went through mediation. He offered that i could see my son (2yrs) every day from 9am - 5pm and every other weekend from friday 9am until sunday 5pm if he can have full custody and I won't claim the money he would have to pay by law (ca:$370,000.00 and alimony....) After asking my attorney for advise and his answer ( well.... you never wanted the money.....you just wanted to be with your son), I agreed.... on the terms that after one year we will renegotiate the visitation to adjust them to new circumstances. Within this year my exhusband shortened the time step by step until he eliminated it completely. I am desperate. I miss my son so much. every single minute of each day. I can't talk about it, I can't think about it, because it hurts so bad. I haven't talked to my own parents for months because it would break their heart to know. I lost all confidence in the law, I def. lost confidence in my attorney.... where or to whom can I turn to?

My fiance proposed to me over Christmas. We set the date for this July and began telling our family and friends. A month ago his mother tells me her and her new fiance (together for about 1 year) have set their date for the same date. She refuses to change, for no real reasons (she comes up with excuses for them, already told family/friends, took of work, etc. - all of which I had also done months prior). My fiance is still on my side of this, can't believe his mom did this to him, but he just wants everyone to get along and be happy, and now all of a sudden I feel like the bad guy, have been asked to apologize (by his sister) and more. It's ridiculous! I had set our date first, booked the place, called family from out of state, etc., not only to mention I have sentimental feeling for my chosen date, she told me they wanted it for the pretty flowers in season. So how do I keep the peace without sacrificing MY day to my future Mother-in-Law?

I have been married for 6 months. I love my husband he is the perfect man for me, but we live with his parents. My husband and i were dating for about 4 years before we got married. My in-laws were great and then we got married and everything changed. His mom hates me for taking her son focus away from her. Im very unhappy and he knows that. We are indian and in our culture the son and his wife must take care off his parents. My husband thinks this is his duty as the only son (to do whatever they say whenever they say). We have no time alone and i spend most off my day with his mother. She constantly insults me about the way i look and basicly everything i do. Living here has made me feel less of a person. I feel im dying inside. I do not want to hurt anyones feelings but i cant live here anymore and my husband cant leave because he works for his father. What should i do. I do not want to loose my husband but i havent cried as much in my whole life as i have in this 6 months. HELP

Long story short, she broke up with me all of a sudden. She talked about having bullimia and had a lot of problems with depression. I tried all I can to make her better cause I love her very much but she would just fight and fight. She cut off intimacy and the whole works for months now. Everytime she would say "You have to prove to me that you want to be with me". How can I prove to her when she didn't treat me anything more than a friend. But she called and asked me where I was all the time!. So after the breakup I sent an email offering support and help for the eating disorder and everything else. I was very nice. I get this back today----"Thanks for your concern. I am glad I met someone as wonderful as you, thanks for everything you did for me. Right now, I think its best for both of us if we didn't make contact". But in my email I mentioned on the last line "If I don't hear from you I wish you the best".What the hell is this, is this necessary? Is she crazy? Is this done?

I am very willing any time he wants it! And yes, when we do he waits for me to orgasm before he finishes. But I'm confused, the other two guys I was with several years back would beg for sex ALWAYS! And my husband is the one who wanted to wait till marriage, not me. So far, in the 3 wks we've been married we've had sex 3xs and I started it. When we 1st started dating we had sex about 5xs and he was the one to start every time, then he said he thought it would be better if we waited till marriage. Sometimes I wonder if he's even attracted to me but once I start things he's really into it. ???

My spouse and I are more like friends with benefits. We have kids and they are our first priority. But aside from that...he's okay with me dating and I'm okay with him dating. We care about eachother. Anyone else have that kind of marriage?

I posted a question earlier about someone I'm dating for 5 months and how we were discussing our desire for marriage and people wrote all kinds of statments implying I'm psycho to even discuss marriage at 5 months of dating and got a whole bunch of thumbs up for it too. Now, call me old fashioned, but I never figured ANY topic of conversation is off limits if both parties want to discuss it. Second, since when has working towards a goal constitued actually DOING it. In my culture, the standard is you spend the first 6-months of dating getting to know each other (including talking about their attitudes/goals on marriage), another 6 seeing if there is long-term compatibility. One gets engaged at around the 1-year mark and married from 4-12 months after engagement. Thats a minimum of 14 months and a max of 24. My GOD, since when did this become psycho? So, is the norm that marriage is not even discussed until ___ time? And when is that?

He still waits for me every time. Does that mean he doesn't want me and isn't attracted to me like I am him? Or is he just overly stressed or trying to be respectful?

As the new, "younger" people on the block, kids love us. Their parents seem to like the freedom that comes with us basically baby-sitting. Saying "we can't play" and "please stay out of our yard when we're not home" isn't working. Hiding in the house results in numerous phone calls from the kids. We are trapped inside unless we want to be followed all day. It's not like they don't have their own friends. It may sound harsh, but we have a lot of fixing up to do. We also like to have fun (with adults) drinking and playing horseshoes, but we can't even have company over without constantly being bothered. Any advice?

Sounds silly, but my dream engagement ring would be the Tiffany Setting from Tiffanys... on the website it says it starts at $1,093, but is that just for the setting (diamond not included)?

Are rings from Tiffanys too expensive, and how much is reasonable? Is a Tiffanys ring too much to expect as a college student? Does anyone know about the prices of a Tiffanys Setting ring, I am just clueless about this stuff!

There is a woman at my office. She's 50 but she talks about her nephew ALL the time...how she does his laundry, gives him money and just caters to him. I was thinking he's in his teens...he's 38 years old! And has a g/f and boy does my co worker get jealous of her nephews g/f. Says how she stole him away. And she cries at work if her and the nephew fight saying she lost her best friend. She drops anything to be with him....what kind of relationship is that? Is it incest? I think it's a bit odd to be that close to a relative. She also talks about him more than her husband. She's mad because they were supposed to (nephew and co worker) to daytona for a weekend but nephew wants g/f to go instead.

My husband and I have a wonderful marriage! I couldnt ask for anything more. But, with how common it is these days for people to get devorced I cant help but wonder if we are really going to be together forever! I have heard that if you make it past the first 7 years of marriage your chances of getting devorced go down. I know that everyone is different and every marriage is different.. but, I just wanted to see if anyone knew if there was any truth in this or not??
