Let me just put it to you this way- they aren't worth it!! I looked at Tiffany's and a "basic" ring STARTED at $35,000, that's for a solitare, a plain simple 1 karat solitare princess cut. My Husband ended up going to a local Jeweler and got a 1.5 higher color and quality. Tiffany's is a lot to expect from anyone, however a Tiffany's SETTING, is anything with a 6 prong setting, which would be totally more affordable and reasonable. Just remember they are charging for the little blue box and that's about it. Stick with the sterling silver at Tiff's and you'll be much better off!

I dont know about Tiffanys but I know that that is the price of the ring with no diamond(s).
An engagement ring is a TOKEN of love should not mean anything by the size of it other than how much money your dude has... who cares where it comes from its the matter do u love that person or are you looking at the price tag? Yeah its silly but if you want to learn more the BEST ppl to learn from at the people who sale it. Just go in there and talk to them they may not waste their time on you cause you arent purchasing anything so everyone is going to give you a differnt opinion but it sounds like a gold diggers question - what difference does it make and why does it have to come from Tiffanys? If you know nothing about Tiffanys then why is it a DREAM ring? Its just the name and price tag you are concerned about not the meaning of the ring itself!

You are paying for the name with a Tiffany's ring, thats why they are so expensive. So you need to decide if that name is really worth a downsized ring.
I will say this though about Tiffany's, the one on 5th, not so much the other branches and the online store, if you go and look you can find fantastic deals on jewelry, but you have to really go and look, I mean really take the day and look at everything, so dont go with little kids or an impatient man, but if you are willing to put in the time to look around, you can defintely find something in your price range at the store.

The price is without diamonds, and it probably is alot to expect from a college student. I'd expect to spend over $10,000 on an engagement ring from there easily.

If you really love the setting, I would suggest just purchasing that from Tiffany's and purchasing the diamond elsewhere. It should help cut down on the cost.

They are pretty expensive! I love Tiffany's, David Yurman...etc, but not for a engagement ring. You can get a lot more for your money or something similar for ALOT less. I would say a Tiffany's ring one carat $25,000.
I love expensive jewerly, but my opinion is you can get a bigger better quality diamond for less!

i wouldn't go i that store with less than 2,500 dollars. My fiance' brought me a promise ring from there a year before he bought my engagement ring for me and he spent 2,300 dollars not kidding. i loved the ring but i could have used the money on something else.
