Yes and No. The first time ended up causing us problems. We pushed through and stayed friends. It happened again and 2 weeks after that, we confessed having feelings for each other that were undeniable. Our one-year anniv. is on Tuesday.
So, I think it's very hard to stay friends unless you really disconnected yourself from any emotion. If that's the case, you'll be fine! If there are hidden feelings for that person though, chances are, they'll come out once the deed is done.

Yes. It changes everything -- at least during the relationship and for awhile afterwards. But then again I have heard of this term "friends with privileges," so, at age 45, my answer might be outdated.

I have had that twice and been able to remain friends. Most of the time, however it ruins the friendship. It depends on how much love is there.

Yeah i've had a relationship one night with my best friend but it wasn't anything sexual, but she said she liked me first, then i told her i liked her too and then i started telling her my true feellings for her, then we talked for 4 hours strait then i asked her out and she said yes and she was sleepy so i told her good night and covered her with a blanket, and i stayed up all night and morning, then i wrote her a letter of how much i cared for for her and put it in her purse and the next day her uncles wife got in volved and all hell broke loose, so we hardly talk anymoer

I don't think we were just friends after that though. It was more than that and developed into a relationship
