I have a friend that formats his hard drive with win98 in FAT32 then after loads win professional Keeping the partition as is...Could anybody see any logic in this?

I was trying to put an SD card into the reader but not only did it not register, nor did the light come on by the reader, but the card wouldn't come out so I had to pull it out with a pair of pliers. Any reason why it wouldn't be responding like that?

I have an extra slot for another DDRAM. I already have a PC266 512MB installed and I want to add more memory. Can I mix PC333 DDRAM on the same board? I want to buy PC333 since it is a little cheaper than PC266.

i backed up my movie collection on dvd rw,but they wont play back on my pc,all i get up on my screen is i not got decoder,any suggestions,not play on media player,tried always.

Ok, you know how on the apple commercial, one is called "mac", and the other is "pc"
Well, I thought a Mac was a PC, because PC stands for personal computer. Just because a computer does not run Windows, doesn't mean it's not a PC. On youtube there were really good spoofs of Mac vs PC, and they included Linux. It looked more like operating system verses operating system.
Is mac a PC. If not, why not?

I have a Gateway laptop with an ATI Radeon Xpress 200M Series Graphics Card. I purchased my laptop for about $1250. Its mainly for office work, but theres a game i would like, except the requirement states an ATI Radeon 9000 is recommended. Judging by the numbers at the end, i would say mine seems much less powerful... but i have little experience with the technicalities of computers... so i might be wrong. How does the Xpress 200M card compare to an ATI Radeon 9000? And if there is a significant difference, how much does a 9000 cost? Thanks.

Im making the jump to Vista Ultimate in a couple of days and I want to start with a fresh hard drive. I know Windows Vista does an option to wipe the files but I feel better clearing it first rather than that. I have the Ultimate UPGRADE and I still have my recovery disks my manufacture gave me :D
