i have the c d.i need to re instal windows x p.but do i need to enter any key product number.? with windows 98 i do.the thing is i dont have a number the shop done it for me help please x

ask the shop. they should be able to give you the product number. They should have given you that information when you got the computer. Also check on your system case for a little microsoft sticker with the product number on it.

what you have maybe a recovery disk suplyed by the shop just run it if this is the case. however if it is a dell or like computer it will have a genuine version of windows and you need no key just clear your HDD and install

you will have to ask the shop if they have any record of the number because you will have to type it in. they place you bought it should have given it to you.
