I have a Gateway laptop with an ATI Radeon Xpress 200M Series Graphics Card. I purchased my laptop for about $1250. Its mainly for office work, but theres a game i would like, except the requirement states an ATI Radeon 9000 is recommended. Judging by the numbers at the end, i would say mine seems much less powerful... but i have little experience with the technicalities of computers... so i might be wrong. How does the Xpress 200M card compare to an ATI Radeon 9000? And if there is a significant difference, how much does a 9000 cost? Thanks.

They are about roughly equal to each other, but neither one is very good at all. Keep in mind that when the game list minimum requirements, that is the bare minimum it needs, it does not take into account having good performance. You unfortunately cannot upgrade a laptop video card, so I would not recommend purchasing this game for your laptop.

Laptops usually aren't designed for games. Anything that is fairly demand, won't look good enough to even bother playing on it.

Laptops graphic cards cannot be upgraded (to my knowledge). If it is possible, it is probably very expensive and can only be done with certain models.

I hope this helps, if you wanted to, you could always install the game on the computer and see if it runs well enough for you.
