Once again, in my quest for a new computer, I have come across some parts, that might make a whole system. Will these make a complete system (I already have monitor, mouse, keyboard, and Operating System) ?

I am worried that I will order these parts, and then have them be incompatible.

I have followed Doug B's advice and decided not to get a Celeron, but the systems he gave weren't fast enough in the speed department.

Will this system work, or will it just be a pile of parts?

I'm on a budget and I would like to find a computer thats not too pricey and can play games like elder scrolls, battefield 2142. It can be a desktop or laptop. Just not anything really expensive. All info and recommendations are appreciated.

They are about the same price. Which one is better? I know the AMD one is better for games, but why?

I currently have an Nvidia G-Force FX 5200 and it's an AGP interface. I'm just not sure if a PCI card will fit in my computer. Here are some pics if they help.

Also what is the difference other than size of the different form factors for a motherboard? Specifically between Micro ATX, ATX and extended ATX. Which form factor will allow the fastest computing and will run high end graphic cards, lots of RAM and fastest internet?

Thanks for the help

Okay first of all, if you have no idea what the heck I'm talking about don't reply...

I have a good graphics card in my computer. A Variant of the 6800.

Here is the specs:
256MB memory
256-bit memory
325mHz Core Clock
700mHz Memory Clock
12pp, 5vp

Okay now I know my way through a computer, but I wanted to get some things about the video card cleared up. Anyone who is willing to describe these specs and what each actually does for my gameplay are more then welcome.

I know the memory stores the video textures.
I don't know what the bit of the memory benifits.
The core i'm not sure completely.
The memory clock I believe affects performance greatly but i'm not sure how.

And the pp and vp, i dont know what they offer.

I am using both Windows XP and Windows Me, I have 2 HDDs (Maxtor 40 GB each) and they are fat32
Here is the story: after I forced the computer to restart but pressing the button located on the case I found that the master HDD doesn’t boot and I get some thing on the black screen like: ( master HDD failure) , so I switched my salve HDD to be primary in order to be able to boot and install a new windows, but I got this message: (SLAVE failure , press F2 to continue) so it is clear that the first HDD has a problem but I still don’t know what it is.
A got the same result even after installing the damaged disk on another computer.
I decided to remove the damaged one and install windows on the other HDD to be at least able to boot and use windows. the thing is it can be regcognised by the BIOS but not in windows so i dont have access to use data recovery program (the problem is geting access not data lose) in DOS i dont get folders, i only see files in C but not subfolders or any foldrs
