1 Kilobyte (KB) = 8 Kilobits (Kb)
1 Megabyte (MB) = 1024 Kilobytes

A "byte" is an 8-bit unit.

Anytime you're talking bits and Bytes....

Big B = Bytes
Little b = bits

KBps = kiloBytes per second
Kbps = kilobits per second

I think it's kilobytes; I've never heard of the term kilobits.
