I am currently using it on my 15" MacBook Pro.

If I buy a cheap Bluetooth USB adaptor for the Windows Laptop, can I use the same keyboard? I'm trying to save money and the environment.

Thanks

Specifically, is it needed as far as receiving technical support, or warranty verification, etc.? Over the years I've bought a few computers and I've never registered it, but my mom's all "I was told you HAVE to do this!" I know it's stupid, but I'm still a novice when it comes to PC purchase.

I have a d510 convertible minitower type desktop. It was originally made to take pc2100 ram. I would l like to do a memory upgrade, but the stores in my area (online purchase is not an option), do not carry this type. Will any other speed of RAM work in my computer? If so, how do you tell what will work and what won't? Below is a link to all of the technical spec's on my model.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!!!

Hi,

I am running a Windows Vista Ultimate computer. I have a Gigabyte GA-965P-DQ6 motherboard. I removed a netgear wireless PCI adapter from inside the computer. I started it up again, and it worked just fine. A few mins later the computer just crashed. When I try turning it on again, the computer starts, the fans and lights go on, and about 2 seconds after I have pushed the power button, it just crashes again. About 5 seconds after it crashes it just starts up on it's own again, but the same thing happens, 2 seconds later it just crashes. Again 5 seconds later it restarts, and this cycle continues. I cant even get into BIOS utilites or anything before it crashes. I have opened the computer, taking out every expansion card, and put them in again, I have pulled out every cable from the motherboard and pushed them in, and I felt it might be an overheating problem, so I re-applied thermal grease between the cpu and the fan. Yet no luck. Same thing.

Any ideas why this is happening?

I tried burning songs to a CD but it won't let me. It was working fine until today. It won't even read my CD. The message says "No CD or DVD burner has been detected." My friend tried downloading Musicmatch yesterday for her mp3 player and since then this problem arose. Is this just a coincidence or does downloading musicmatch and him messing around with it messed something up in the WM player ? Please help me.

Most times after performing a defrag on my XP computers, the graphical representation shows lots of "white" space between "blue" and even a bar or two of "red". The text log always shows 0% fragmented. Is performing multiple defrags worth the time?

Im having a computer built from a family friend who owns a wholesale computer software and hardware company. I got pretty basic stuff. 1GB of memory, 160 GB hard drive, dvd/ cd burner, 17 in lcd monitor, and he said the price is about 1500. I look in best buy add for an HP that has 2GB of memory, 320 GB hard drive, burners 17 in monitor, etc for $850. Is there a difference in the quality of hardware used for brand names (gateway, dell, HP, etc) than what an expert or insider in computer will use? thanks

Recently my comp refuses to go by usual left mouse double clicking into my second HDD's partitions telling me "Please go to the Control Panel to install & configure system components". I'm too dumb to figure it out. (I can use Explore, no problem).

I don't have the jumper on the second HDD set to "Slave", there's no jumper at all. I was lazy to put it in.

Sometimes my Operating System becomes unstable and I can't correct the problem. I have to install O.S. once again with all installed softwares and drivers. This becomes very tedious. If there is a way out of this such that we could backup our system with all installed softwares and drivers and get them back to work even after we need to format hard drive. To add to this I also want to know whether we can save ASR file on Removable storage media other than a floppy disk.

I've got a junker-type computer that hasn't been used in a while but that I'd like to try and use again. It's a pc that I believe did have xp on it, but the system is completely destroyed with virus' or whatever else could happen to it. What I want to do is just wipe it all out and start fresh (if possible). I've tried using 'restore to a later date' and other boot options but with no luck, and I don't think I have an xp CD anymore. Any help on how to completely re-start my system?

I have a CD-R which, somehow, had a small amount of the surface scratched off of the front side. The disc will now no longer load, so I can't retrieve the files.

Is there anything I can do to "fix" the disc long enough to get the files off it and burn them to a new CD-R? Metallic pen "painting" over the damage? Gluing a small piece of aluminum to the disc? Putting a sticker over the damaged area?
