have 2 hard drive...one is 7 GB and the other is 80GB...i want the 80 GB one to be the main drive and the 7 GB to be the secondary..cause when i install programs...it sends it to the 7 GB drive

any ideas


i cant manually tell it to install in my 80 GB hd for some reason...

The simple solution -- backup your original data to removable media, pull the 7G hard drive out of the box, set the 80G to be primary/master/master-without-slave, and reinstall the OS. Assuming Windows --> During the OS install process, delete the partition that had your previous installation (if there are multiples, delete the largest partition) and then select the unused space for the new OS and let it format it NTFS. Restore your original data from the backup.

Afterwards, reinstall the 7G hard drive -- set the 80G to master w/slave and set the 7G hard drive to slave. Hook it back up and when the system comes up, confirm it booted from the 80G hard drive and format the 7G hard drive.
