I tried burning songs to a CD but it won't let me. It was working fine until today. It won't even read my CD. The message says "No CD or DVD burner has been detected." My friend tried downloading Musicmatch yesterday for her mp3 player and since then this problem arose. Is this just a coincidence or does downloading musicmatch and him messing around with it messed something up in the WM player ? Please help me.

MusicMatch is a media player just like WMP, so it is possible that it screwed WMP up somehow. You could download another CD burning program...I use CDBurnerXP Pro, it's free and works very well. If you can, uninstall MusicMatch and see if that helps.

Sounds like the driver for the CD burner might be either corrupt or need reloading.
Musicmatch is a bit of a hog. I would also try removing that for the Moment, since if you have Media Player 10 or 11, these are perfectly okay for Song play, or media Burn
