If you wanted to get around the activation you would of had to do it before the trrial was up.
go back to 03. If you want the upgrade then download the full disc image and install off of that.

If it was a trial you must pay for the code to allow the application to continue. If you have the full edition of Microsoft office 2003 then sure install that.

Why not just get the latest version of OpenOffice. It's free and is compatible with MS and other office suites.
