1. Is it the reason why only nForce4 chipset motherboard support SLI is becasue the distance between the 2 PCI-Express slots are closer than the others normal motherboard? (So that the thing we use to connect the 2 video cards can be install?)

2. I have seen other motherboards that have 2 PIC-Express slots too...but it doesn't say it supports SLI, what happen if i just plug 2 geforece video card in and try to get the SLI function?

My pc speakers have always worked fine. I installed a webcam for the first time last week, and tried using both msn messenger and skype for voice / video calls, but the speakers are just not playing ball! They break up all voice (including that of others) so am convinced it is them, not the microphone integrated into the webcam. The dialogue box "Sounds and Audio Devices" pops up but then closes again when I turn on / reboot PC. Have looked through there, but cannot find what is wrong. Please help!

My media center tv works perfectly, except for one channel, TNT. It comes in static-y and i can't hear anything. All of my other channels come in perfectly, but this one doesn't. All of the other Tv's in my house show tnt perfectly. This would be ok if TNT wasn't the channel that i watch most often. I'm entering Law & Order Withdrawl here lol. Help please!

can someone explain to me in simple terms what a wireless router does. I have one desktop pc in the house, the phone junction box is by the front door which is about 20 ft away from the pc, so i am currently using an extension for my internet which everyone keeps tripping over! Will a wireless router, connected to the junction box remove the need for an extension cable, or is this equipment only useful if you have another pc or a laptop other than your main pc.

I've got Windows XP Media Center 2005

I did have a:
Foxconn motherboard (don't know model)
DDR1-400 2x512mb sticks of RAM (No-name brand)
AMD Sempron 32bit 2800+ (Socket A)

Upgrading to:
Gigabyte S-series motherboard (GA-M55plus-S3G (rev.2.1))
DDR2-800 1x1Gb stick of RAM (Corsair XMS2)
AMD 64 X2 4600+ (AM2)

The hard drive is staying the same (250Gb Maxtor IDE), will I have to reinstall Windows? And if I do, is there a way to keep all my settings and programs without reinstalling them?
