I even had to buy a surge protector as adviced by a friend, but the problem persists.could it be that there is a problem with the electrical wiring of the house? This is really baffling because each time i thought the problem is this, it proves not to be. For instance, because of fluctuations i use a voltage stabiliser. I then connected the ups from the stabiliser. Now when there is fluctuations,as the relay switches to correct the change, at times the ups goes off thereby switching off the pc. At other times, the ups gives the normal noise when there is power failure without the pc going off. this is really confusing as I don't know what to really call this. I would really appreciate it if there is someone uot there who can solve this mystery? or is it a puzzle?, for me. Thanks

I have a pc with a 420w PSU and 4 hard disks (2 SATA raid 0 and 2 maste/slave IDE) plus I have a DVD-RW on IDE2.
The question is can I install one more disk or will I fry the PSU/Disks ????
The rest of the system is not that power hungry, namely it is an AMD Sempron 2600+ system with an NVidia 5200 GPU.

Anyone knows the way of doing this?

Is it true that if you don't overclock it, you don't need a cpu cooler?

If you do overclock, which motherboard and cpu cooler do you recommend, for complete silence.

Thanks!

My drives don't work, both of them don't work, not the cd or dvd drive.
And it has a yellow caution icon next to it. I've read on other questions that they need to replace the driver or correct the settings. But i don't know how to correct the settings SO I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATED IF SOMEONE COULD EXPLAIN TO ME STEP BY STEP ON HOW TO CORRECT THE SETTINGS.

Also if you think its something else could you tell me. thank you very much.
