I have a radeon 9800 pro 128 and an Athlon64 3200 and 1gb of pc3200 ram but I still can't run even empire earth 2 at the lowest settings. I get these triangular opaque artifacts mucking up the screen and after a while they take over the whole screen. I am not sure if this is a configuration problem or if my hardware is obsolete. If it is obsolete, what upgrade would make this go away aside from the 400 dollar video card upgrade route? Processor upgrade? Memory?
Note: I did try updating the video card drivers to the latest set but still have the graphics problem.
Any help is appreciated, thanks.

When i power it up. Sometimes it gets recognized and I can access it in windows, sometimes it does not. Sometimes it gets recognized out of the blue as a removable drive (exp. Memory stick) Then works for a while then just vanishes off windows. I checked the warranty off Western Digital's site and it has no warranty, which is a joke because it is a 160 Gigabyte SATA hard drive that I have not even had for 2 years. I would like to try to get it to work , what are my options ?

Yeah, thats what sets apart Hard Drive makers...Their warranty support ( or lack there of) when one of their drives go bad. I usually buy Maxtor Hard Drives , just because their warranty is around 4 years.

Since its going to go in the trash anyways, is there anyway I can try to do (take it apart ? ) to save it?

Nope, never dropped it.

I just turned it on its side standing up and it started working.....I have access to it right now.. Its not clicking , running very quiet. Maybe a stablizer inside is not working right.

I get some "cycle redundancy errors" on some of the files on the Hard drive when I try to move them off.

Has anyone ever had a disk brake/explode in their CD/DVD drive? I was in the middle of installing a printer driver, out of nowhere "Boom" (Same sound as when you bend a CD in half) My first thought was that one of my fans broke but they were all fine. Realizing it was my drive, I took it out, opened it up, shook out the peaces and put it all back together. Works fine again. How did it happen? I've had it for about 10 months with no problems, then all of a sudden, POW! The drive is a PLEXTOR 16X DVD±R DVD Burner. I was thinking maybe a bad CD?

I know that by installing a graphics card it relieves all the video onto the card which improves performance of gameplay, but does installing a sound card do the same(relieve stress off of the computer for faster performance?)/

Whenever I play a game it runs just fine for a while, but then the sound just stops. I have a Phillips sound card that I used. After I disabled it and went back to the factory sound it seemed to work ok for a while, but then it did it again. Is there a way to fix it so that the sound doesn't 'drop' out?

I picked the option that said my computer could read 13 types of media cards, and I thought a floppy disk was included in the 13 types. I can never get through on the phone to the support center. Are floppy disks being weeded out like cassette tapes?

Well my computer will turn on sometimes and other times it won't. When I do get it to come on it works fine but if I unplug the power supply and plug it back up it will not come on. If i open the case and unplug the power supply from the motherboard and jiggle it around alittle bit it will finally come on but i have to do this almost everytime I want to get on my computer. So I don't know it is the power supply or the motherboard. I know it is not the switch because the motherboard it self has a switch to power on and both switches will turn the computer on after I tinker with the power cord.
