You can download file recovery tools from Download.com. Some applications can recover deleted files and folders. But some are demo versions (i.e. max file size of 16MB). You can also try Software Archives.com, they've got good freeware applications there.

I was given a job like this a while ago.

I used a "copy" of ON TRACKs easy recovery professional. This software is really good but very expensive (hence why i used a copy). You may find a PC store will have a copy as it is very good software and they may provide running the software as a service.

I managed to recover all the data that was required. What might happen is some of the pictures may be corrupted or incomplete and also the file names could be lost. But in general I was very happy at being able to successfully reconer about 85% of the data.

A data recovery specialist will charge a fortune £100's + + +
however they would almost garuantee 100% recovery.

Good luck.

PS Just thought Id add that there is a copy floating about on www.mininova.org which you can download if you know how to use bit torrents.

(Not that I agree with Piracy but your in a bit of a fix)

You can go two routes, the cheap or the expensive.

The expensive, is contact a data recovery service, there are several out there. And they will get you back all the info on your drive and then some.

The cheap route, is look for some undelete software on the web. I've seen it from shareware to $400 software that will get back a ton of info

Terrific - so you want to play Scrabble, but you have too many letters. I suggest you start again and play by the rules.
