Change in SAP installation Hardware?

Hai All,
I am using SAP installed PC with configration, 512 MB ram and Windows 2003 server as OS and P4 2.4GHz processer. Now I want to upgrade my system to P4 3.0/Duo core -- 512mb ram and install the same hard disk.

Can any one suggest me... will the SAP work even if i change the configuration of the system?

Should do, since the SAP kernel is running on the OS platform, and not as a seperate OS itself. Therefore it is independent from the processor and RAM. I am assuming that the hard disk will be the boot disk.
