1. Is it the reason why only nForce4 chipset motherboard support SLI is becasue the distance between the 2 PCI-Express slots are closer than the others normal motherboard? (So that the thing we use to connect the 2 video cards can be install?)

2. I have seen other motherboards that have 2 PIC-Express slots too...but it doesn't say it supports SLI, what happen if i just plug 2 geforece video card in and try to get the SLI function?

Best bet would be to go to nvidias website and just type in the model # and see if they have its specs listed. I'm not sure how to tell by just looking at it.

The distance between slots is part of the standard, like the distance between pci slots... if you have two slot, you can do sli with geforce cards or crossfire with ati cards.. same thing, different name...
