when i start my old windows 95 computer up it starts then i can use an option safe mode or start windows normally i try windows safe mode it restarts it self then goes to the windows 95 screen witht the clowds then after a while it shuts itself off i tried to start it normally but it still does the same thing help i need to get document off it so i can put it onto my xp computer

ok i accidently change what program to open it in tools>folder options..>file types>drive
i accidently click on find then i pressed ok
every time i click on the hard drive it opens the find program so what program opens the hard drive and another problem when i see the hard drive icon i see a different icon i tried to change it but it stilled look like it

my computer is really screwed up.
It has been infected with some type of virus, and my anti virus things, Norton, Windows Defender, and Spybot Search and Destroy fail to locate the problem. It makes my computer unable to start up for HOURS, so i cant turn it off or even put on standby, and the CD/DVD drive/burner is not even registered on the computer, it wont show up in my computer, windows media, nero, iTunes, or ANYTHING. it will not even open, the drive is totally unresponsive. i need to burn my Mp3s to a DVD to save them because i do not want to loose all 1.80 GB of music i have bought or been sent by friends, and if i am ever able to do that i want to blank the whole computer and start from scratch. is it true that FireFox is less likely to get viruses than internet explorer? PLEASE HELP ME! it is driving me truly insane.

I sent a request for a new password. It said it emailed me with instructions on putting in a new password, which i will keep in a safe place this time. (Very rare for me to forget a password!)

I go to my email address at yahoo.com and it doesn't show any email from the site.

Any suggestions? could yahoo just be busy, and it will take a while for the email to come through?

i have a Prescott 3.4 Pentium 4 (single core) and i'm upgrading to one of the mentioned processors. .they are about 50$ apart, how much will i get out of either compared to what i have now??

I just bought a Vision Tek ATI Radeon X300SE
PCI Express 256MB with TV OUT Support
Now I did this because I want to try my TV, as it's Not Bad..
It's a Polaroid HDTV, 19Inch Flat Planel, I am Connecting my PC to the TV via a S-Video Cable,
The Drivers are Installed..
How can I go about Getting the Screen Covered, and Make it Clearer or Sharper.

Hello Everyone,

Does any one know how I can make my PC mic hear me from 10 feet away? or do youknwo of a a good brand taht will do this automaticlly?

I currently have an HDTV with a computer hooked up to it and I want to by a program for voice recognition (probabbly dragon 9). I sit about 10 feet away from where the mic is. how can i set this up to hear my voice clearly and not yelling across te room (prefrably a very low talking voice...don't want to wake the rest of the house when they sleeping)?

My 4 year old pc is starting to slow down. I am capable of de-fragmenting, disc clean-up and scanning for viruses and spyware but thats where it ends. Where's the best place to find someone who will service my pc at home and not charge the earth or rip me off. I am still at the 'thinking about it' stage so havent rung around yet as I would like to know what I should be prepared to pay. my bro gave me his old computer(HP Pavilian running windows 98 then upgraded to windows xp pro)and when i tryed it out it keeps freezng.So i have to push the power button and restart.He told me to buy a clean up disk but i dont wanna waste my money on it im only gonn use it for music and internet and maybe install 2 or 3 games.So what im asking is if there is anotherway to clean up my pc(FREE).Is there a thingy i could download?oh ya we also uninstalled all the progrmas and that dont help.If i have to pay i will only spend up tp 10-15 dollars(lol)

My dvd player in my computer is playing the sound and visuals about a third slower than usual. When I shrink the window it speeds up a little. It is the same with real player and windows media. If there is an easy software fix that I could do, that would be great. Although, the dvd is pretty old.
The cd burner also has been having probs burning lately.
Any ideas?

If I try to remove the listing for the PS/2 keyboard from Device Manager, I am told to reboot. Then when I do, the system tells me that I have a new device and the PS/2 listing is still there.
I am having some boot-up problems and I wonder if this could be the issue.

My computer is about a year old, It was fine untill I got someone to format it and put a version of Windows XP..before it was formatted I could burn Cds and DVDS and it had No problem picking up cds..In the device manager it says that the device is working properly.. Can ANYONE PLEASEEE help me!!

I'm thinking about getting a Vantec Nexstar3 Mirror Finish External Hard Drive Enclosure, but i am slight confused on what harddrives it fits. It says it can fit any 3.5 HDD, so is that any HDD on the market? and could this Maxtor DiamondMax 11 500GB ATA-133 Hard Drive fit into it? I have a Radeon 9250, 128MB video card and 500MB of RAM. Some of my RAM is taken up by programs running in the background that I cannot end. The game says you need 256MB of RAM and an ATI Radeon card 7500 or greater. I have all of the system requirements listed on the game.
