the company is rashiperipherals tech. it has come for 5yrs now getting stucked everytime. i cleaned the rollers inside the mouse chamber still sometimes i have to take it upp and down and push toweards left right. whatto do

My computer sometimes hangs. The serviceman says either there may be problem with HDD or with RAM. Sometimes my computer works fine. I don't see any problem with the RAM. Is there any method to find out the problem. Thanks

My SB audigy sound card finally quit working. I had trouble in the past with it locking up my computer occasionally. Recently, it locked up the computer to the point where bios will not even boot up. I removed the sound card, un-installed all the drivers for it, and re-installed windows, it's drivers, and enabled the motherboard AC-97 chipset, and loaded the codecs and drivers from the mother board utility CD. Everything works fine except I cannot use any audio. I get a message saying an error has occured while initializing the sound system. Hardware is in use by another application or no hardware is available. Do you think my mother board's audio chip-set is fried? (KM400-M2 XP2000 Athlon AMD motherboard/processor.) This is the third mother board I have put in this computer, going on #4. Could the creative sound card have been responsible for the previous failures? NOTE: I have replaced the power supplies each time, even though they checked out to be good. HELP?

I hav problem in mycomputer, can u help me? I cudnot use my full hard disk size, i don know y.... I just installed one (1) new 40Gb hard drive/disk in my computer, the computer already has a 120Gb drive, as a spare. But in My Computer it shows up as three (3) new hard drives:

Name-Size

1. E, 1.99Gb
2. F, 5.40Gb
3. G, 29.8Gb

Question- Why has it shown up a three instead of one? Can i merge these drives into one?

I've just bought a 250GB external hard drive, it came in formatted with FAT32 but I remember I read somewhere that NTFS its better for this tipe of applications. Should I keep the FAT32 format or reformat the drive with NTFS and why?

I bought an IDE interface cable and power supply off this guy on ebay. The power supply runs from a 120V outlet from the wall, through an adapter, to a female plug just like the white plastic ones on a desktop internal power supply. Only this one is rubber, and I believe I may have plugged the power supply in upside down. The adapter is poorly made, it isn't that difficult to plug the wire into the 4-pin connector on the hard disk upside down, but its my own stupidity. The hard disk won't turn on now, and I've plugged the power supply into another hard disk and it worked fine. Have I fried my hard drive? Its an 80Gb and I have some stuff on there I would like to retrieve. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

how do i turn it off? its a memorex traveldrive. there is no switch or anything and properties doesnt have a read-only box. i even tried formating it a thousand ways but it still isnt working. i cant delete the files, i cant even scan the drive to see if there is a virus. someone help!!!!

I have been given a computer and told that i need to reformat it for it to work. I've looked on the net to try & find out what to do but i am a complete beginner unfortunately and have no idea what the hell i'm supposed to do! I don't have any disc's with the computer and i don't know what drivers are, what one's i need and where to get them from. It has to be said that i am completely baffled! :s If it wasn't for the fact that my accounts overdraft has reached it's maximum i would take this to someone who knows what they are doing, however i am completely broke this festive season and i wondered if any one reading this could please help me out and tell me exactly what i need to do.

My friend went in and deleted a bunch of things on my computer to make it faster and it worked, but somehow he deleted the sound and I was wondering if anyone know what i could download to get sound back on my computer like a link to something I can download.
P.S. it is for sure not a problem with my speakers
