IU have a Dell Dimension 3000 P4 3.0 ghz with 1 gig of RAM.
I'd like to upgrade to 2 gig of ram. It seems like all I can find is 2 gig at 2x1024. I'd rather have just a 2 gig stick in case I want to upgrade it. Will 2 gig or 4 gig even work in this machine? Many thanks!
Chris

I have an ATI Radeon 9800 and for some reason my computer keeps crashing everytime i play a 3D game. Atfter about a minute into a 3D game my monitor freezes and messes up, there is also a weird box in the top left corner of the monitor that looks like a no-reception TV when my computer freezes.

Also, after about 30s of this freezing, my monitor suddenly closes and says "no input detected" - something like that.

Can someone please tell me what i can do to fix this?

I came up to my other computer to find everything shut down (including my desktop, monitor, speakers, modem, and printer). I unplugged everything from my surge protector and tried a new one, everything works fine except my computer and old surge protector. I tried a different power cord and I tried connecting it to another outlet but it still doesn't turn on. If u know any ways to fix it, please write them down. Thanks in advance

For a few weeks now I've been receiving an alert telling me my startup disk is nearly full, telling me I need to delete files. I've been deleting a whole lot of files, dozens, perhaps even a hundred (and yes, I emptied the trash, wiseguy) but today I have received intelligence that my hard drive is FULL. I can't download music, can't save changes to documents, nada. Do I need to buy more memory? For the record, I don't have a ton of stuff ON my hard drive, just an average-sized music collection, some text documents and some images and videos. I'm not sure how much memory is on my HD at present. What can I do?

My harrdisk has detected few bad sectors. After I formatted the harddisk, now I totally cannot install Windows. The hard drive seems to that not exist in Windows XP setup, but then I can format using the DOS version. By the way, DOS is using FAT16 format, but Windows XP is using FAT32 or NFTS format. Does this the problem? If yes, how am I going to solve this. Please give me some guidelines.

It was infected with virus I zero-filled the hard drive and reinstalled the Win XP SP2 & upgraded it with the advanced security version. Although configuration is good enough with Pentium 4, 1.52 GHz, 256 MB RAM, 40 GB Hard Disk. I also want to install Antivirus so that I can check the files previously stored on the hard drive for virus infection. My system used to be very fast but now I dont know what is wrong with it ? It takes longer time to boot and shut down programmes work slowly, copying of files is slow. I mean altogether it has become slow. Please help me to solve this problem.

I need watercooling really bad for my system. It's too loud. I also need to get a quieter power supply. I have never installed a watercooling kit , hence the reason I am asking this question. That being said, I built my own system so I am good with my hands and can learn quickly. I am pretty meticulous about handy work. So me installing it won't be an issue. I want a really good internal cooling kit that can connect to CPU, GPU, and chipset. Also, do they make kits for hard drives? I hear Thermaltake makes good ones. Any suggestions? Here are my specs below:

AMD 3800+ Athlon 64
Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe
1 GB Geil Memory (I wanna change to Hyper X Kingston)
6600GT Nvidia NForce 4
3 Seagate HDDs (each are 250GB)
Thermaltake Tsunami case
Power Supply is a kind of loud one and I am considering the Power Supplies with the heatsink on the back and no fans.

The noise is driving me insane!!!!
