Should work, your Hardware seems new enough to accept the cart physically, and probably will electronically.

Depending on what's on your computer you may find may not work, but that should be in the manual of the motherboard already, as it has onboard sound card. (There is another possible issue which should not appear, as Windows XP will try to automaticly fix it)

As you have onboard sound card already, you may have to tell Windows and some programs (Like Winamp, and music programs) to use the correct sound card. It is possible to have TWO sound cards in one PC, playing Different Tunes AT the time, as I've done it with my brother.

My Question is WHY? It appears that You don't gain anything.. not unless
you have damaged onboard sound.

I am not real sure but you can call Tiger Direct and ask 1-800-888-4437 I can swap things out but if I dont know what to get I call them and ask what they have and ask about the price range or you could just go to there site TigerDirect.com They carry alot of AMD Athon computers. good luck!
