Im having trouble with my driver on my computer.?

every time I put a disk in my drive which it stated that it is e drive but It tells me that there is no disk in e drive with should I do have. emachine microsoft windows xp and its also stated that I have a c and d drive but that want work nether.

Sounds like your IDE ribbon maybe bad or it could came off. or the power came off that drive.

You could be putting DVDs in a CD drive, looking at the wrong drive letter (memory card adapters can take up a lot of drive letters), or have a bad drive.
