My friend went in and deleted a bunch of things on my computer to make it faster and it worked, but somehow he deleted the sound and I was wondering if anyone know what i could download to get sound back on my computer like a link to something I can download.
P.S. it is for sure not a problem with my speakers

First of all look for any yellow question marks in the device manager..see if any of the devices under sound , video and game controllers have a red X mark or a yellow question mark..if so you might have to reinstall the drivers for the sound card....before that please check that all the volume controls are turned up and the speakers of the computer are working( test on a working CD player or a DVD player)...this will resolve it..

Yes you can download the drivers..if it is intel motherboard that you have you can download it from the website www.intel.com..check from the device manager..which kind of sound card do you have..

OK. my best bet is your friend uninstalled the drivers for your speakers. you should go to the manufacturer's website and go to the support section. you need your system's model (Ex. Dell Inspiron 8100 or eMachines T3504) then look for driver downloads, find the audio section, download those drivers and install them, if they don't work, you can punch your friend for screwing up your comp =) good luck with the problem, hope it gets fixed without the punching
