Right now I have a Dell Dimension 2400 with okay RAM and okay processor the only thing completely horrible about it is the video card. Are the any PCI video cards that would run WoW on lowest graphics settings. I used to play WoW with the lowest settings until BC came out and my video card won't work with WoW anymore.

I have a Dell Dimension 2400. Is there anyway for me to make the graphics card better? My friend told me that integrated graphics use memory from my comps RAM. Could I increase the amount of memory the graphics uses from the RAM? Are there any graphics cards out there that would work with my comp?

As soon as I switch-on the power supply, my pc starts automatically without requiring me to switch-on the pc (which I used to do previously). After working normally for about 10 minutes or so, the pc switches-off. I have checked the Device Manager which is OK in all respects. I have XP-SP2 with 512 mb of ram, TV tuner Card, two 80 GB Hard Drives and ATI radeon integrated graphics card.

I made a copy of his vista disk and activation code to install on my computer. will it let me use his activation code, or has it already been registered by the vendor? he never had to activate it and never connected to the internet.

Just bought a new HP Pavilion desktop pc and wanted to add some more storage to the system. I've been checking out newegg.com, but I'm having a hard time choosing the right harddrive for my pc. A lot of these harddrives have strange codes on them like ATA100 and SATA and I don't understand what they mean. I'm worried about getting a harddrive that won't match up with my computer or that isn't even for desktop pcs. I'm looking for a mid-priced, 250GB (or 500GB if there's a deal) harddrive, around the $100 range. I was considering a Western Digital or a Seagate. What do you think will work best with my pc? What type should I get, specifically?

So what's the difference between these two computers?

I want to buy a desktop PC for daily use (word-processing, multimedia, and mainstream gaming, etc). I heard that Core 2 Duo is better than Athlon X2, but not sure why.

More specifically, I am trying to differentiate the Intel C2D E4300 and the AMD Athlon X2 4200+.

At my local computer store, the C2D E4300 is actually cheaper than the 4200+ by a difference of $150 CDN, but the latter comes with ATI X1650 gfx card, while the former is equipped only with an onboard chipset (GMA 3000). Memory is same: 2Gig DDR2.
