My P.C is pentium 3, ATX motherboard , processor 501 MHz, RAM 192 MB,
I would like to add more RAM. What is the maximum amount of RAM I should add?
512 MB, 1024 MB, or 1536MB.
What happens if tere is too much RAM ?

There is no such thing as too much RAM, but some motherboards support only so much. For example, my desktop motherboard supports up to 2 GB and no more. So check with your motherboard documentation on the maximum RAM.

As mentioned, mobo's can only support so much memory. You'll have to find out the make and model of the motherboard and refer to the manufacturer's site to get the spec's. While you're there, since you want to do upgrades, find out what processors this board can support. You have an old board; pentium 3, 500 MHz processor? So the best processor for this board is definately going to be cheap. A BIOS update is also something you'll want to look into as well, but be sure you know how to apply the new BIOS if the manufacturer still supports it(which I doubt, but it's worth a try anyway), otherwise get a tech savvy person to help you with that.

u shld get atleast pentium 4 3 GHz
1gig ram and ur hdd u never mentioned get atleast 80 gig

Hi. I would get a total of 1 GB. Any more would not make a processor that slow (today) much more efficient.

I think 512 mb is about what you need.
