Hello,
I would suggest starting your computer in Safe mode. To do that, shut it down, as soon as it starts to boot up press the F8 button and continue pressing it until the boot screen appears. Highlight the Safe Mode without network, and boot. It will tell you that you have booted into safe mode. At that point you can either change the video options, or use the restore option, to set your computer back to how it was before your dad messed with it.

This may work go into the display properties select the settings tab. This is the tricky bit press Alt and S keys this will select the Screen resolution option even though you can't see it. Then use the cursor keys tap the right arrow once or twice then press enter. this should change the display to a higher resolution.

I don't remember how to change the huge size of font, but I opened "Accessibility Options" on the Control Panel. I was trying to make adjustments for a person who is handicapped and clicked something for visual impairments which increased the font size, but I got the changes undone, maybe with technical help from my computer manufacturer. I believe he did it as "dewcoons" suggested.
Here is a website address if you have Windows XP: http://www.microsoft.com/enable/training/windowsxp/opsblind.aspx
There are two ways to change the font, one is with the mouse; the other is with the keyboard.
Hope this helps.

Rightclick on the Desktop
Select Properties from the menu
When the Propertiew window opens, click on the Settings tab
In the center left is a slide bar. Slide the bar to the right (so the number get larger) to make everything smaller

Right click anywhere on your desktop, go to properties and choose Settings tab and you'll see Screen Resolution. Make it bigger and you can preview and select which size fits you.
