Hey all, I am in the process of designing a computer and I ran into a problem. The processor I am buying is OEM meaning it doesn't come with a heatsink. I am trying to find a good budget one, but I can't tell if I should get one with a 3 pin or a 4 pin connector. If someone has used this board and can tell me, please do so. Thanks!

I have a hp a1243w and was wondering if it supports a ATX PSU as I need to buy a video card and I have a stock PSU so I'm upgrading that as well. It was purchased about a year and a half ago so it's fairly new its a AMD Athlon 64 3200+. I think all of the "newer" computers can hold atx's but I'm not sure. Incase it matters, the PSU in the a1243w is about 5 inches wide, about 3-4 inches tall (i think) and about 5 inches in depth (from side of case to other side of case). Does this sound like the size of a atx PSU? I can't tell by the picture, incase you were wondering here is the picture.

I was told that my pc probably can use atx but my case might not be big enough to hold it inside. Comments please? Here is the HP link containing my motherboard, etc

We used two wireless adapters, both had the same problem. We even got a new router. It says signal strength is excellent, but then it says there is limited to no connectivity, and the internet doesn't work. What's wrong? (Computer is home PC, Sony - Vaio PCV-2210)

After about an hour's use my Compaq desktop just powers down. Could it be a virus or overheating? This just started today. Never had it happen before. Any insights might be helpful. Thanks.

Is it possible that your computer will freeze if wires or anything else are touching inside of it? Mine freezes multiple times but i moved the wires around and it went about 20 min without freezing. Also it freezes whenever I try to play a game, Could it be my video card causing it to freeze?

I have an ATX case and have come across a good deal on a new motherboard but it is a micro ATX form factor. If I can make this fit in the current case it would be a good money saver.

My Computer is telling me that I have two processors.
I have one P4 3.20Ghz in a Titan Motherboard with a SiS 648FX Chipset.
On windows task manager/performance/cpu usage history,
the window is split although it gives the same graph in both windows!
Under Computer Management, in Device Manager on the components tree, under processors there are two identical discriptions of my P4!
I've tryed deleting one twice, a different one each time, but they both come back!
Has this happened to anyone elses before?

I am using a 3ghz Pentium 4 but looking to build a new computer. Most of the 3ghz chips now are too expensive for me and I don't want to change if its going to be slower. My question is, since the new chips are dual core, are they faster at lower ghz than my current one? (for photoshop work and gaming) What would I need to at least match my current speed?
Thanks

I'm looking to build my second computer. In my last one I used a 3ghz Intel P4, but now want to go to AMD. Preferably under $200, I use my computer for photoshop and games, photoshop being the most important. What are your suggestions for an AMD for me?
Thanks
