I have an ATX case and have come across a good deal on a new motherboard but it is a micro ATX form factor. If I can make this fit in the current case it would be a good money saver.

YES! And it is so easy. Just make sure that good deal includes the output backplate.

ATX is a large size compared to a micro ATX. So, you can easily install one. I got a micro ATX in a ATX cabby ;) But make sure that you place the mount points properly.

Hope this helps ;)

Well. usually a case is built around the specifications of the motherboard type. I have a micro ATX. I thought Emachines used the mini ATX? The smallest of the small. You should check up on that, because usually a case is built around the specification of the motherboard.

A micro ATX is a much smaller mobo than a standard ATX mobo. It will fit, but it will not have as many PCI expansion slots as a standard ATX.

If not, then you'll be faced with making a few case mods :)
