Intel Pentium III 930 MHz Processor,
128 MB RAM,
40 GB Hard Drive,

It has the error message 0x0000024(0x000190203, 0x081B9DD68, 0x1c0000102, 0x0000000). I tried to reinstall the XP, but it stops during the installation at inital stage when the reinstalation requires restart.

I have a MAJOR problem going on with my PC and I thought to try to answer it here before calling technical support. My problem is this... I have a 3 year old who likes to touch my keyboard and mouse when I am not looking and I think she may have done something terribly wrong. My CD-ROM/DVD is not working. I have tried to troubleshoot everything and I keep getting the same message. It says that my driver has been found (I did a search for it) but the device is not working. Any ideas on what to do? I can't get it to play any CD at all, not music, software, data, etc. Anything relating to the driver such as burning, copying etc., says that there is no device found that can run the program. HELP!!!!!!! Oh, I am running Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 1 on a Compaq Presario Intel Celeron Processor with 2.53 GHz and 248 MB of RAM.

For the past week my videos on Media Player 11 have been very dark. At times when i watch a video clip its in greens and blues and very dard. Also, I cant watch my DVD's using Power DVD because they are also dark. What is wrong with my computer? I have reinstalled WMP11 and my Power DVD Software but with no luck. Anyone have this same problem? If so, how did you fix it?

Is it the end of the road for Celeron? Which processors will win the race? Is 128 bit processing viable, needed or desirable and by when? Will 64 bit machines make 32's obsolete as quickly as the 32's made the old 16's in '95? How long will it be practical to run and economic to repair & upgrade 32 bit machines?

I put a new videocard in my computer to try to play The Sims 2, as I had no videocard before. But my computer will not recognize the videocard and I do not know how to make it do so. No one knows what the videocard is and it does not have a CD. What do I need to do?

And we do not have the money to buy a new one.

I purchased some software to clean up the computer, called RegCure. It did improve the speed somewhat for the computer, but its still really SLOW in comparison to others that I've used. Unfortunately I dont know the first thing about computers and am trying to figure out what I can do in order to get this thing moving faster for me.
I delete all the cookies and temporary files on a regular basis as well as that Delete History Option. I found out how to check the properties of the computer and was wondering if the following might have anything to do with its slowness:
Intel Pentium III Processor
930 MHZ
128MB of RAM

Says the hard drive has 18.6 GB with 14.5 GB used at this point in time.

I'm not sure what most computers have concerning all that.

If there is a kind, computer educated soul out there that might be able to help me out I would truly appreciate it.

I was thinking I could delete some things off the hard drive, but am not sure what is okay to delete. Thank you

which is the best processor for under £100,im not looking at lightning clock speeds, just a decent chip, even a budget model,as long as its over 2ghz,as in my opinion is plenty good enough to run most applications with 1.5gb of ddr ram
amd or intel,as long as its over 2ghz
cheers
