if its an ATX mini or standard tower, or even a Micro atx tower , you have alot of options,, you could upgrade your whole system, to an new style cpu like a socket 939 for amd or 754 for intel,, those are the boards and pinsets, that accomadate all the newer 64 bit and dual processors, , you could buy a nice 7200 rpm hd drive at least 100 gb,

its all up to you and if you dont want to do anything,, contact me , ill be the sucker you want to sell to, i build midrange comps for a hobby , so i could find some use of it,, if not i also donate to the womens, homeless shelter in my area ,, they like it alot

email me and send me a pic and ill tell if im interested,,

anyhow,, its all up to you what you want to put in it,, check out these sites for replacement ideas

www.tigerdirect.com,,, www.zipzoomfly.com,, www.laptops4me.com,,, www.newegg.com,,
all these sites have manufacturers warrenties on all products..

or go to auction sites like ebay.com,, craigslist.com, yahoo auctions.com
these do not carry warrenties on most products,, but can get good deals,,,

or just go get a new comp,, if you like and trust dell,, this is the best deal of all comps for a budget and good quality ( if youre looking for a desktop)

for a laptop this is

http://www.dell.com/content/products/features.aspx/cto_inspn_1501?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs

or check out dells outlet w. many bargains of older or used or slightly blemished products,,,

well if i was you i would go on ebay and buy a cheap but good hard drive maybe 20gb? throw on either windows or linux and use it as a computer firewall. or print server or even use it as a back up storage unit aka NAS. so just in case your main computer dies you have a back up but if you wanna make it a NAS i'd get a bigger hard drive like a 100gb. but you should upgrade the ram to at least 256 or 512mb depending on how much your dell can handle. i hope this helps and if u need any additional help email me at chronicsmoka420@gmail.com. i can give you online instructions hopes this helps. later

Put Linux on it and use it. Ubuntu will work nice on that and you canlearn basic Linux, Vista might make it onto some PCs but Linux is about to bust out all over, be ahead of or on top of the free and real technology.
