I'm surprised that you can even access internet without overloading your Drive. Buy another external or internal hard drive. That should solve it.

Oh my god. Get out of the house now. Call the Police and everyone you know. You are in danger.

Just kidding. LOL

Not sure why you have a D: drive as a hard disk as this is most common when end users install additional drives. Most vendors will hide a restore partition so it would not show up.

Take the computer to a service center and have them assess the situation and ask them to install a larger hard disk if needed. They will copy the data over for you also. Make sure you tell them that you want it labeled as drive D:

STOP!!!!! You may want to take some time to see what this drive is..My D drive is a recovery system and it is like almost full, but one doesn't want to touch this as it is your system restore in case something happens to it. Make sure you are not talking about the C drive, as this is the main drive that computers use for there everyday storage and retrieval.

no problemo.
Just maybe time to clean up your laptop.

Try this first
START --> PROGRAMS --> ACCESSORIES --> SYSTEM TOOLS --> Disk Cleanup
Then follow the cleanup instructions.

If that doesnt give you enough space you need, then you can always go out and buy a larger hard drive, and just put that hard drive as a second (slave) to the original one.
Very easy process
But Id try a disk cleanup first
and also go into CONTROL PANEL --> ADD/REMOVE Programs
get rid of the stuff you dont need or use.
Some programs are very big -- that could save you a few gigabytes.

See if that helps some.
Good luck

A lot depends on what kind of drive your D: drive is. If it is a hard disk drive, the instructions given by most of the other answerers should do the trick. If your D: drive is an Optical Disk drive (CD or DVD), all you have to do is put a fresh, writable disk into the drive and you're all set.

Not bad, just have a look and see what you really need to keep and what you can delete. Maybe burn pictures and documents onto a CD/ DVD. Defragment (Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Disk Defragmenter) your disk drives weekly to keep them organized. This will keep your computer a bit faster as well.

Another idea is to get an (extra) external hard disk for additional storage.

D:/ (drive) is usually just a moveable storage device like a DVD/CD Rom drive. This would mean the Disk that is in the Drive is Full. Try getting an empty disk like for burning etc...

yes because if it is completly full and you need updates to anti-virus or anti-spyware and it cant download it you could be a risk. to get rid of useless temporary files go to

Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk cleanup

you can also get rid of programsyou dont use any more by uninstalling them

Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs

i'm guessing you have HP and stress D is the restoration Partition. If that's actual then you definately will in all danger locate that below computing gadget stress D is plenty smaller than stress C. while new that's ninety p.c. finished if not greater. do no longer save or decrease back up something to this stress as that's in basic terms meant for restoration purposes.
