It has the error message 0x0000024(0x000190203, 0x081B9DD68, 0x1c0000102, 0x0000000). I tried to reinstall the XP, but it stops during the installation at inital stage when the reinstalation requires restart. BUT when I used Safe Mode, it can be started and get to the user page and desktop page.

If any one can help, I really appreciate it.

The Audio of my computer is not working properly ... All it needs is a driver but I can't find any . My Windows is "Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition" . When I first installed windows , the VGA was not detected so I installed VGA but now the audio's gone . I have clicked the Hardware Troubleshoot button but nothing helps .

Just bought my 3rd system supposidly a better one having a pentium d 3400 chip dual core, 1024 ram, g force graphics card, dont know very much at all about computers and wonderin if ive been ripped off again! when i go into the start menu or anything else seems to be quiute slow considering i got told even the egg timer wudnt appear? my old processor was a sempron 3800 crap! seems bout same speed as that!

I was thinking about buying the above computer and it seems like the best one. I am buying from a rent to own place so there's not a wide selection. Would this one be a good one to buy? I will be surfing, writing reports and doing other school stuff on it. They don't have a duo core, the highest they offer is a Pentium 4.

I have an HP Pavilion 750c that made a funny noise, like an electrical 'pop' recently. The only 2 resulting problems is that no optical drives will work on the board, either internal OR connected by a USB cable (it doesn't matter which header is used, and a different ribbon cable didn't matter).

The other problem is that there is no network connectivity now. I can PING 127.0.0.1 and get a response from my onboard Ethernet controller, but that's it. I installed a PCI NIC and tried a known Ethernet cable, but no help at all.

So I know I have a problem, but I am interesting in knowing - What on the motherboard (chipset, etc.) actually controls these two functions? Also, if anyone has a good used MB for sale for this PC, send me an e-mail ;)

My motherboard says that it requires the +12v lead on the 20 Pin Connector should put out 15A, my PSU only puts out 10A on the +12v lead. I know that it's inadequete, but could that be whats causing it to freeze up, or is there a worse underlying problem?

Everytime I want to open a new Word, Excel etc, I have to wait for the file to open because AVG wants to do a virus scan on it. It is a new doc, so it shouldn't have a virus in it, should it? Any way to turn off this annoying procedure. Thanks in advance

The power source went out on my pc. I replaced it and it still wont start. push the power button and nothing. the fan on the power source wont even turn on. nothing happens-zilch. anyone have any good sensible suggestions?
