If it was built pre-1999 then you can keep it handy as a stool. The monitor makes a cool explosion when you shoot it and the keyboard and mouse, if properly disassembled, will provide hours of fun.
Post 1996, just sell it on e-bay for 10X what it is worth and sell it about 50X. This will provide a great deal of pleasure to yourself until you are busted and then it will provide a great deal of pleasure to the rest of the country as we watch you led off to jail; fun for the whole family.

Not to be sarcastic here, but go to the book store and look for a book series called:
Seems a bit stupid, but these books are a great way to learn how to start using a computer or other stuff....
Otherwise, find a friend who knows computers and ask him to teach you....
Obviously you must know something since you posted your question....
