Floppy disks loose their ability to retain information.
And I've seen that formatting a floppy disk on one computer makes it so it can't be read on another computer.
Some floppy disk drives are 'better' at reading marginal floppy media better than others.

Where did you store them? Floppies can be damaged by magnets or heat or ... lots of things. They can also be wiped by a faulty floppy drive or being formatted by a different computer... and like audio tape the information gradually fades out - the cheaper the disk the faster the fade out may be.
I've also seen drives that are adjusted slightly wrongly that can read/write preformatted disks but if they are used to format a disk nothing else can read them because the tracks are slightly out of place.
So maybe the information on them is lost and gone. You may be able to use a data recovery utility (from a number of different sources, mostly you have to pay for the tools) or you may be able to pay a data recovery company to have a go for you. But how much you get back depends what happened to the diskettes to damage them.
Have you tried them in the *last* computer they worked in to see if it's an odditity of that computer? That probably means have you tried your work computer?

properly. verify to ascertain the floppy isnt write-secure. There would desire to be a sprint nitch on the ideal (cant bear in mind if its on the the main suitable option or left section) that could slide up and all the way down to mark it waiting in simple terms or writable. attempt switching that to work out in case you may format. i actually use the USB flash drives. they are very available and would carry a ton extra then floppys. Mine is 512mb. A floppy holds a million.44mb or there abouts. So in case you think of roughly it, it may be lots extra straightforward to hold a small flash tension then 250 floppy disks!!! a 512mb value around 20$ if on sale. Smaller reminiscence sizes are much extra much less costly. wish this facilitates!

According to what you have said in your question I would suggest that the MBR has lost its integrity. It is possible to retrieve the data in several ways. You could search the internet for an after market program that might work for you or you could contract a data recovery company to try to obtain the data that has been lost. I would also suggest that if you ever at any time manage to get a system to read the disk copy it immediately.

Hi there, I'm sorry but from what you told me (like getting the same error on other computers), your diskettes or data on them are corrupted. This can happen from not using them for a long time (collecting dust), or accidently touching the insides of the disk, or even leaving them besides speakers. U can probably recover them using a recovery application, but chances are quite dim. Sorry! Backup .. backup! :-)

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.

This usually means that the floppy is damaged and there is no way to fix it. If I were you I'd throw it away
