Browse the site below for a good price on an AMD Athlon 64 Processor. they are the best in my opinion, as they tend to do more work than their listed number says

It is a good idea to get a new motherboard, and the items on it when getting new processor to insure compatibility AND so one isn't lagging behind the others

good luck, i just went to newegg.com to see what socket A processors are going for, they don,t list any! change your mb and update, singal core processors are going for dirt, especially amd 939 socket, or 754, but there being replaced by am2 quickly!good luck!
