I have 2 physical drives in my computer, a 250GB and a 160 GB.
They were both visible and accessible. I reinstalled windows onto the 250 GB drive and now the other drive does not appear in "My Computer." Setup in BIOS shows there is a second drive there. The physical connections are fine, as it worked prior to the reinstall.

Question: How do I get this second disk to show up so I can access the data on it?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi,
I am using Asus 9200SE AGP Card. Sometimes it gives garbelled/garbaged display. Whenever i send it to claim my warranty to the dealer of that card, he simply give it to me in 1 day. I don't know what is he using to correct that problem. I used anti-rust spray as well but results were similar. I also used Isopropyle a lens cleaning chemical it worked a bit but again started to show me garbelled display. I know that that technician wash my card's circuit with any chemical or any stuff but don't know which and how.

Someone plz tell me how can i correct this problem as my card warranty is finished now. So I have to do it at my home. I have some electronics information.

Every computer I've had at one time or another sounds like a geiger counter when it is thinking. I just bought a Gateway with an Intel Duo processor, and it is normally a quiet and very nice system. However every once in awhile it starts making a sound similar to a geiger counter. The sound seems to happen when it is thinking really hard, like when I'm trying to access a website that is currently down.

thoughts?

I am about to splash out on a new computer and I have decided that if I am going to do it, I should do it properly & get a nice one.

So, first off - the NVIDIA GeForce 8800. From what I can tell, its nice, very nice. I am thinking of getting the Dual 640MB GTS - SLI Enabled version. However, I know this is the first of the new breed of graphics cards, if I buy this thinking it's the best, is something better going to appear around the corner that is worth waiting for?

Also, I was thinking of putting in a preorder for windows vista, so as to make the best of my graphics card with DirectX10 as soon as possible with the new games in 2007. Being an old git, I remember the nightmare on release of windows 95 and all the bugs, so am wondering if I should give it a bit before buying it. Are my fears unfounded or am I being prudent?

Lastly, if you were buying a new PC, how much RAM would you go for and how much is just overdoing it?

Let me know if I am making any errors in judgement

I tried reformatting my hard drive and reinstalled Windows XP. The harddrive will partition and format just fine, but when the XP installation files try to install in the c:\windows directory, some of them won't copy over to the hard drive, I don't want to skip any of the set up files, even if you are allowed to skip and continue. Plus, I tried a different CDROM drive, and a different XP installation disk with the same results. Should I just junk my hard drive, or could it be another problem that I'm overlooking?

I have my computer on for several hours a day, and I think that it is overheating, and when I took the case of my PC, I discovered that there was a lot of dust inside, especially on the fans. Does anybody know what I can do about the dust, or if there are any solutions? If you do, please let me know. Thanks.

So, I just came back from compUSA. I bought an intel p4 motherboard I guess its called, the package says on the box it takes DDR ram, but my old computer takes pc133 ram. I wanna know if these two will work together. I cannot open the box until I wanna set my stuff up, otherwise I cant return the motherboard. Will the motherboard get fried if I were to try to put the ram in the slot? Will it even fit in the slot?
