They are both good, if you just want to run the usuall applications on them.
If you are a passionate overclocker, you should know better than to ask such questions, because it will start a big flaming war whenever you reach a critical mass of overclockers reading it. When it comes to overclocking, it is unprovable personal preference that counts, but everybody gets hot about it.

Totall agreement, at the moment Intel Core 2 Duo. That is until AMD bring out their next cpu!
I hear quad core are on the way for both companies.
Sorry people get up to date you don't get better "bang for your buck" anymore the new intels beat the current AMD's hands down.

I will probably always prefer the underdog AMD. Haven't had a problem with their chips since they started putting thermal protection in all of them. AMD is better bang for the buck anyway.
