go w/ the compaq presario--better processor in the long run because eventhough the eMachine has a faster speed, the AMD Athlon is higher quality. celeron burns out faster in my experience.

Compaq for sure i had a e machine (now gateway) when i got it i had nothing but problems.i had to keep reinstalling it back to factory.people i know who have one always have trouble.i have a Compaq i love it.good luck.

I agree with previous post, Celerons are weak cpu's.
