I went out to get some Blue Loc-tite threadlocker (medium strength) and when I got home I noticed it was Permatex brand blue threadlocker. Is there a difference between these two brands? They seem to offer the same exact stuff. Are they the same company? Is one better than the other? I'm not worried about having the Permatex brand threadlocker. I'm just curious.

Thanks.

I'm going to beef up my 97 turbo eclipse gsx overtime. Going to upgrade the air filter and intake pipe but I was just wondering if that is going to make my engine sound a bit stronger? Its all stock right now and I'm really dissatisfied with its sound! And dont worry, I'm not a "ricer" or anything, I was just wondering. ;-)

A carburetor is a device attached to an autombile engine in which gasoline and air are mixed prior to being burned. A "lean" fuel/air mixture contains less fuel than a rich fuel/air mixture. Which type of mixture would result in the cleanest automobile exhaust? Why?

When I step on the gas, I hear a grinding at low speeds. Once I get above 40 or 50 I don't hear it anymore. But the grinding is unmistakable so I know something must be wrong. Any ideas?

Sometimes my car (1999 Subaru Impreza) will not start when it is sitting out in the hot sun. It usually starts on the second try, then runs really rough for a few seconds and then runs perfectly fine. It seriously only does this when it has been sitting for several hours in direct sunlight and it is hot outside (80-90 degrees).

Describe the appearance of the exhaust gases once you finally manage to start a "flooded" engine. (A flooded engine results when too much gasoline is pumped into it) What type of combustion does this represent incomplete or complete?

My 2005 Acura TL has a terribly bumpy ride. The vibrations are so bad, I often feel like I have a flat tire. Acura says my "performance tires" get flat when sitting, and then warm up after 5 minutes, but the problem remains. I've had the tires rotated, balanced, etc. Acura says it's "characteristic" of this car and drives like a normal TL, but I disagree. What recourse do I have? I've had the car for 1.5 years, purchased new from this dealer.
