Tonight on my way home from work, I noticed that in my 1998 ford explorer, the 4WD and 4WDL lights would flash 4 times and then go out for about 2 minutes. They would then flash again. I didn't try putting it in 4 wheel drive because I know this means there is a problem of some sort. Anyone know what this means?

I have tried everything aside from actually unplugging the battery and they won't go off. It's too late to go to a repair or parts store and the light will drain my battery if I wait until morning. Has anyone else had a similar problem before or does anyone know any way to fix it?

I drive a '99 VW Beetle. I went to walmart, but they needed a "star wrench", and did not have the proper tool to change the light. Where should I take it that would be cheap? (i know walmart would have charged around $5)

My driver's side wheel has been squeaking/squealing HORRIBLY for a few months. It has progressed to every revolution of the wheel, regardless if brakes/clutch/accelerator are pushed in.

Please help! I want to try to avoid getting ripped off at the shop. My wheel isn't going to fall off right?!

I have a 89 Thunderbird, when I am braking, the steering wheel go a little eratic, or vibrates, what would cause this to happen. Also, another question is when I turn right it makes a little squeak noise or something like that. but only when I turn right not left.

Well, first of all, I just bought a 66 Mustang with a decent engine in it, and it just looks sexy. My problem is, I want get more horses and power out of it. How hard would it be to install a nitrous system in it with tools that can be found in an average high school garage? And also, how much would a good system cost? And what is a good system? and brand? And if you aren't already sick of me, how hard would it be to install a turbo charger and what is the price of a good one of those? Thanks for your help. It is greatly appreciated.

At about the halfway point of a 300 mile trip, my 2000 Ranger 4x4 started making one hellacious noise. It seems to be coming from the front of the truck, and is a very loud humming noise (I thought it sounded like a bomber in one of those old WWII movies). If I stop, it stops. Once I restart, its not there until it kicks in at about 45 MPH.

The good news is that whatever it is didn't leave me stranded in the boondocks. It made it back with no apparent damage other than the noise.

When I take it to the mechanic tomorrow, will I need heart pills?

Read all of this before u just yell something out..

The brake pedal Goes all the way down until it hits just a little resistance at the very very end.. perhaps a half inch of braking power..

I have replaced
1) the calipers
2) the rubber hoses
3) the master cylinder
4) the power booster

I have no idea what to do next

and also if u could answer.. would 1 brake line unbled lead to this problem? someone has told me even 1 unbled brake line could have the entire brake system compromised like this.
I have replaced every part i can think of..

My corolla has 60,000 km's on it and the dealership is telling me the pads need to be replaced. I have not noticed anything wrong with them, no noise, no squeaks. Also if I get them changed do I need to get the rotors machined? And how much extra should that cost?

Has anyone tried that gasket repair chemical that you pour in your radiator to seal the leak. I'm pretty sure the 1990 ford aerostar I have has a blown head gasket, it will drive fine for about a week and then will start to overheat, when u check the radiator it is half empty. also have bad compression in the back 2 cylinders. If anyone has ever used that stuff id like to know if it works, or if you have any other ideas I could try.
