i have a 92 ford explorer with an a4ld, and upon removing the transmission, the torque convertor wont pull out, why can this be

and is there a way to pull it out thanks

Well I have to say did you unbolt it from the fly wheel???

I would check to make sure all the converter to flywheel attaching nuts are removed, also I would drain the fluid out of the converter

Oil seal has worn a groove in the output shaft?

Did you remove the 4 nuts that hold it to flexplate?

it must be stuck on the front pump.can you get anything,like a pry bar behind it?

i am not sure but i would look for a locking clip.
